"Japanese pay double for their gasoline, and they dont blame Bush."

Iraqi''s pay $.15 per gallon. They blame Bush. Venezuelans pay $.11 per gallon. They don''t blame Bush.

"If the democrats had evidence to impeach Bush the republicans would follow just like they did with Nixion."

Just like with the attempted impeachment of Clinton with the Republican ruled Congress back in ''98, the Senate knew it was all a waste of tax payer dollars, for once it got to the Senate floor there wouldn''t be enough votes in the GOP for the impeachment to pass. Didn''t stop the GOP from spending the tax dollars, though. It accomplished their smear campaign that got them the hoodwinked southern votes they needed to put the Crime Lord Bush/Cheney into office. Do you know what seperation of powers means? Judicial (Gonzales), Executive (Bush Admin.), Legislative (GOP controled congress pre2006). How do you sleep with yourselves selling out your own countrymen for these peoples greed. The Dems know they don''t have the numbers to impeach.

What a leap there, Mr. Bob! Before you climb back up onto your cardboard soapbox and have another childish temper tantrum, you might want to go back and carefully read my posts. Where is it I''m defending Bush? He''s not my favorite president - in fact, I''ll be happy to see him go, just like you. Like I said, all I''m doing is fleshing out the liars, bigmouths, and juvenile delinquents. Looks like I bagged another one. Have you done any research into Lieberman? He is actually supporting McCaine. The lies keep coming don''t they.

they p!ss on the constitution on a daily basis ... the same document that they swore to uphold ... the same document his attorney general refered to as an ''outdated document''.

this alone is an impeachable offense ... and it doesn''t even touch they''re clear misrepresentation and lies concerning the justification for war in iraq ... made to both congress and the whole american electorate.

but that was the cia''s fault, right?

erichsh - NameVerified - Are traitors to the American people and way of life. Their lies and misinformation are posted here anonymously for all to see.

Hey dumbasses, if you raise the price of coal you raise the price of oil, gas, electricty, etc... They go hand and hand. When the price of oil goes up, coal goes up as consumers start to light up their coal stoves, or turn on their electric heat, or burn their propane heaters. Keep spewing out the lies and misinformation, you just might convince someone who doesn''t know how corrupt this administration is. This is in reply to just one of your many lies.

Don''t extrapolate a single policy position (Iraq) into an argument they can''t do "anything". My point (in case you missed it) is that if there was indeed a desire among Democrats to impeach, they have the wherewithal to communicate that desire by way of attempting to pass legislation to that effect. So I''ll put it back to you - do the majority of Democratic lawmakers actually WANT Bush impeached? Back it up please - references, links, etc.

[The Democratically-controlled Congress has no problem with repeatedly bringing up for votes measures calling for the troops'''' withdrawal from Iraq - even if those measures fail - because they''''re trying to make a statement. If they wanted to make a similar statement against Bush, they could do the same thing. But I don''''t see them beating down the hallways in Washington with motions to impeach.][Posted by erichsh at 02:26 PM : Jan 03, 2008]

seems like your blind and tireless support of ''''the illiterate one'''' may be affecting your ability to recognize things for what they truly are.

Back it up, Bob - show me poll results showing 70% of Americans actually want Bush impeached. [Buddy if this were a true statement don''''t you think for one minute that the Democratic controlled congress wouldn''''t impeach Bush. Of course you do have to have evidence in a court to impeach. There in lies congress''''s problem with impeachment.]
[Posted by commonsence1 at 01:59 PM : Jan 03, 2008]

so ... the democratically controlled congress can do whatever they want now ... and all republicans will go along?

can you outline your understanding of how anything gets done ... or not ... when your ''control'' is a single vote?

Is there ANYTHING you can see that Shrub and Darth have done wrong???.....anything in the least way Illegal or Questionable???......anything to account for over 70% of ALL American Citizen''s calls for their Impeachment and Removal from Office???

Hey vet, are you confusing an approval rating (or lack thereof) with an actual, expressed desire to impeach? Only the extreme lefties (and I assume you are one of those) are calling for an actual impeachment. Otherwise, by your logic, over 80% of Americans are calling for the forced resignation of the entire Congress - their approval rating is lower than the President''s.

Were there things that Bush and Cheney did wrong? Sure (lots of them), but when you go about with the namecalling ("Shrub" and "Darth"), and preposterously claim that 70% of the country wants Bush impeached, you reveal yourself as hard-core left-wing partisan deluded into thinking your agenda is reflective of the majority POV.

[Note to dumb-*** Libs, unless you are part of the 5% of Americans who still rely on heating oil, the price of oil doesnt affect the price of electricity or your other utilities. If your landlord tries to ram through a rent increase because of "increased energy costs" then you have a dispute with your landlord, not the energy companies.]
[Posted by NameVerified at 01:59 PM : Jan 03, 2008]

so natural gas (or it''s cost) has no connection to the availability or cost of oil?

The value of a barrel of oil is fairly stable. Having a barrel of oil reach the price of $100 US is more a function of US inflation and the terrible devaulation of the dollar that has occured on GW Bush''s watch.

While I''m no fan of any presidential candidate at this time, I''m inclined to agree with Ron Paul''s vision of stabilizing and anchoring the value of US currency one means of controlling inflation.

The US dollar today can buy roughly 55% of what it could eight years ago. Way to go Bush!

commonsence1 - rampant speculation contributes to the problem too. The price of any commodity will ultimately rise to the extent that demand exceeds supply - but speculation just adds unnecessary short-term volatility and costs to the commodity''s pricing.
