We can do something in November. Vopte the *** that voted for this bill out of office and get some one in there who understands the priorities thiw country needs to address. Helping out rich folks that live beyond their means is not it. How about fixing Social Security? How about mediacl coverage for the uninsured? How about a milion more important subjects? The answer: Hold them accountable for thiis stupid act. Vote them out!!!

"The Senate bill raises the maximum mortgage the FHA can insure in high-cost areas from $362,790 to $417,000"

Wow, and to think I only spent $158,500 on my house. It''s fortunate my housing payment is low and 6% fixed so I can pay the taxes to bail out people living in homes I can only dream of buying.

Yes, I like to think those folks living at 2 or 3 times my standard of living appreciate the sacrifices I make to support their profligate lifestyle. But that is only a fantasy--the rich get richer by making me subsidize their mortgage payments.

Let''s just pray that Commander Guy has the courage to veto this bill. The last thing we need in this country is a giveaway to home owners. Who do they think they are, anyway? Big oil companies?

Again the hard working middle class Americans will be given the shaft and our tax money will bail out the people (morons) who made stupid decisions by giving out these mortgages.

Unfortunately, this will just make the ultimate collapse that much worse when it comes.

This bailout will only postpone the inevitable housing market collapse slightly, at best, and will only accelerate the plunder of our Treasury.

Re: "Republican Sen. Jon Kyl was the lone senator to vote against the bill."

Good job, Senator! See? Not all Republicans are dirt-stupid on all issues.

Nicely said and I could not agree more.

Last time I checked, mortgage insurance did absolutely nothing for the homeowner & only bailed out the lending institution ... so a bunch of rich people get richer by taking advantage of uneducated Americans, get too greedy, realize they''''re screwed, & pass a bill to bail themselves out ... I can''''t believe this would happen under the watchful eye of a trust fund moron like Bush ... the government of the people, by the people, & for the people is dead.

The Federal Reserve has a credit card better than mine - no limit on balance, take forever to payoff, forget about liability. I wish they give me some of that creative wealth, but the poor never actually see nothing. Perhaps another Wag the Dog trick.

More accurately this article should be entitled "Bill advanced to protect millionaire hedge fund investors"

Carry on with the lies CBS News.

***! I should have overextended myself, gotten a silly loan and then gotten a free bailout from the gullible Senate. I probably lost a grand a month being prudent!

.
Once again the people of Arizona are shafted by one of their Senators. If it isn''t AMNESTY-ADVOCATE John McCain, it''s AMNESTY-TRAITOR, and Ted Kennedy funky, Jon Kyl.

The people of Arizona deserve MUCH better than these two losers.
