Topping Nixon, Bush disapproval soars to highest level ever recorded in Gallup poll

Raw Story
Wednesday November 7, 2007

For the first time, George W. Bush has surpassed Richard M. Nixon in unpopularity in the Gallup Poll, receiving the highest "strongly disapprove" rating for a president in Gallup''s history.

The little noticed statistic -- publicly noted on Gallup''s poll writeup -- made a single headline in Google News. The story, at Editor and Publisher, was titled "GALLUP: Bush Finally Tops Nixon -- In Unpopularity -- As Call for Iraq Pullout Hits New Peak."

Topping Nixon, Bush disapproval soars to highest level ever recorded in Gallup poll

The secret to China''s success is an artificially undervalued currency! Many nations have complained that the Chinese keep their currency artificially low to attract foreign investment and China''s economy is booming as a result. Maybe the U.S. is finally getting smart and playing China''s game! A strong currency can be bad too as the E.U. is finding out, if a nations currency is too strong no one will buy much! It''s a tricky game but the Chinese have obviously mastered it!

tbweb,

Re: "Enlistment numbers will start to go up soon, the U.S. military made a decision to take people with minor criminal records that in the past prevented them from getting in the military."

This was done a long time ago, yet the military is still struggling to find enough suckers.

If we were to round up the Zionist apologist fools, however, arm them with box-cutters and air-drop them into Fallujah, This would be a major vicory for the people of the U.S., of Iraq, and of the world.

I suspect that you are not nearly as stupid as you seem, but are here rather to disinform, and as a dedicated apologist for the Zionist terrorists.

BeeCuster, I think siete-pesos has a point in reference to southern bible belt hypocracy. I spent about 9 months in the south, expecting to have spirited philosophical discussions with religious folk. What I found was vulgarity more than I have seen anywhere before. It was pretty repulsive to be among people billed as very religious and finding little straight dialogue which was unpeppered with a constant flow of mundane vulgar allusions. The southerners told me that was what their culture was, constant sexual insultants and cutting remarks about what people are, do, or should do. It was quite dislocated from my expectations of a wholesome folk.

As they all like to say, "nobody owes anyone anything". Until it''''s time to defend the US (and its interests overseas) from terrorists. There appears to be a disconnect between the anarchy-driven concept that nobody owes anyone anything, and the societal -driven concept that we''''re all in this together. But it might explain why enlistment numbers are down; I don''''t know.

Enlistment numbers will start to go up soon, the U.S. military made a decision to take people with minor criminal records that in the past prevented them from getting in the military. It could be a win-win situation giving those who made some mistakes a second chance at a decent life, a chance to visit scenic Iraq and a chance get back on track. Many people with criminal records are not "real" criminals, some were in the wrong place at the wrong time and some made some bad choices, others like FeelFree1 are real criminals and the military would never take FeelFree1 under any circumstances! :)

As we are at war, we should be using our military to stablize oil prices. This is insane, to basic allow the world to gut us of technology while Bush and the other hystericals of DC talk about their theories and market forces. We''re being gutted guys, open your fearful eyes and watch the hemhorraging. Do something besides pray, your fake gods aren''t helping, your euro mediterranean allies are driving our productions into the ground. We need armies and wars, and next time we should forget about marshal plans, those we helped out of the dust now seek to destroy our positioning thru their immigrant embeddings in our governments. We should sit down with the Russians and the Red Chinese and divide up the resources we need until we can ween our production systems of oil. Why should we concern ourselves with the wellbeing of foreigners who persistently betray us? Their immigrants meddle with our production efficiency over the rights, to what? We should be waging wars and purging our societies of those immigrants from beyond the great ponds who interfere with our dominance.

Bush and Cheney are both Methodists. I quit the Methodist Church with their "if you are poor it is because you didnt work and let the sick and poor starve Puritan work ethic". Bush and Cheney are against homosexuality...unless it is Cheney''s lesbian daughter and her partner...in that case it is OK with them.

"s1ckd09" still desperately clinging to an irrelevant and soundly discredited argument, that even his own puppet-Fuhrer has long since abandoned, like a sick fly stumbling around on a diseased pile of *******.

These neo-fascists are quite amusing, in a pathetic kind of way.

s1ckd09 - Yeah, Saddam was a threat. He kept the peace so well oil was cheap, and US oil company profits were low (comparatively). Under Saddam, oil only went for $24 a barrel, and now it goes for $99. Oil pumped from US owned wells right here at home is exactly the same price as oil from Iraq, Iran, Pakistan or Argentina, so when things are all messed up in those places, American oil companies get to charge us a lot more. Bush, Cheney, Condi, and everyone they know and love are in the oil business, and getting rich as he11.

You need to get ready!
Whether we choose to believe it or not, God does have a plan for the world, and that plan involves all of us! There will be an end to our world as we know it and, although no one knows the exact time or the hour of Yeshua''''s return, we are commanded to know when it is near, "even at the door." (See Mark 13)

This is what Religious right in the United States care about,i.e; to destroy this beautiful planet and bring the world to an end.

Whether they become successful in their mission or not, they have done their best to bring United States and her economy to an end.

CHENEY is so lucky that these right wings nuts consider him and his boss on the sacred mission of god to bring armagaddon.

We are very close to be militarily and financially bankrupt in this NON-SENSE WAR. CHENEY has already transferred Halliburton head office and CEO to DUBAI UAE, in case if something bad happens to the US.

Fueled by strong demand, worries about supplies and the eroding purchasing power of the dollar, crude oil prices continued to close in on the $100 a barrel mark Wednesday %u2014 up $35 in just the past six months.

With oil prices advancing so rapidly, the immediate unknown is where they will stop before taking a breather. But the longer-term question may be even tougher to answer: How high can oil prices go before the higher cost of energy tips the U.S. economy into recession?

Thanks Bu$hies!
