I got rid of AT&T a long time ago, when I caught them trying to pad my phone bill several times ! They also contributed to Bushes Presidential campaign back in 2000, when running for election !I say everybody Dump AT&T, Boycott these Corporate Fraudusters, and let them know it ! They knew exactly what they were doing, when censoring that concert, they're just playing dumb about it ! They also turned over millions of documents to the government about your phone calls and privacy information, willingly to the government so they can spy on you and others ! They lie, they're part of the Conspiracy to bring this country down . Boycott them !

Censorship of political views is so anti-American. That type of thing is suppossed to only happen in dictator type regimes. OH! WAIT! I almost frgot, that's what we have.

Hope the gov. likes listening to my phone calls.
I say such nice things about them.

At&T was wrong for censoring, still, I bet 75% of the public says far worse of Bush on a regular basis.

I was at the concert on sunday and the majority of the people there, including the other artists, were of the same mindframe as Eddie. If most of the crowd were against it you would not have heard anybody singing along to these comments about Bush. The fact that they could get a crowd that big to listen and take part in their free speech is a powerful achievement. Censoring a singer is one thing but when you have a whole crowd of people at lollapalooza singing along with him you are censoring everyone there as well.

Anybody who has followed Pearl Jam since George Bush was elected the first time would have been aware of their political views beforehand. The lyrics of almost every song on their last album make negative references to the Bush administration - if you don't agree with them then that is fine but if you still choose to listen to them live now then it's your own fault for surrounding yourself in an anti-gov't atmosphere of a typical PJ concert.

I guess AT&T now feels that Pearl Jam has the right to promote drug abuse, spew profanity and anti American sentiment at very young children.

Why do you call him a loser, infidel? Because he has a different opinion than yourself?

WOW...this was certaintly some shady work by AT&T. I agree that profanity, to an extent, and nudity hae no placein an open public forum. But, what are they thinking bleeping out a few lines about George Bush from a Punk Floyd cover? Seems silly to me. Here you have an entire song devoted more or less to promoting individualism and anti-establishment (to a degree), yet they bleep out two lines because Bush is sighted? Rediculous.
That song can be interpretted as entirely being about the Bush administration, if that is how you choose to accept it. There are many lessons to be learned in that tune, yet they feel its the mere mention of GW that threatens? Again...rediculous...and frankly a little insulting with regard to our intelligence. It's as if At&T thought we may just miss the message if they take out a direct cue to our own time in history.
Shame on them.

If you don't think it was an error, are you OK with the censorship?

Not really. But I think there's a time and a place for everything. He may have the right to say it, but that doesn't mean we have to listen to it.

AT&T should not have censored. People should have been allowed to decide....ala The Dixie Chicks.

mnelsonix there was a time conservatives cared about American rights. That all ended the gutless Bush era.
