Dear emily3451: The headlines today were of Merck committing scientific fraud and distorting clinical trials to get the results they want to sell Vytorin. These are the people that came up with the news on Circumcision. Big Pharma owns the Medical Schools and they teach only a drug can cure anything. All decision are based on profit, I am sure you know that Web MD is owned and operated by Big Pharma. There was a report yesterday that mercury in vaccines does not cause autism. The company that made the report has financial ties to the vaccine manufacturers. This cycle is endless and you should not buy into it. They pay big fines for there digressions and it is business as usual.

In regards to circumcision, I don''t believe any of these men had any sexual disfunctions before doing the study. They stated...

"Previous studies have shown that circumcision may curb men''s risk of contracting HIV by half, and, if widely practiced in Africa, might prevent 3 million deaths over 20 years"...

this means that they are conducting these studies for health reasons. Every man I''ve ever known who WAS NOT circumcised did not know how to clean that area properly. I am expecting a son in Feb 2008 and will be getting my son circumcised. It''s alot more healthier than a man going to the bathroom and not taking the time to clean himself while germs swim around in that enclosed area. Yes I have seen it up close and personal so I believe myself to be an expert without the degree. Especially at the fact that most men DO NOT wash their hands after holding their *** to use the bathroom. It''s for health reasons and not personal reasons, some men have just claimed to have problems so they don''t have to have it done.

How awful. A vast number of men have reported a major loss. What is next: crackpot doctors condoning recreational mastectomy?

Google "foreskin restoration" and you will discover it is possible to regenerate much of what was lost.

The word *** gets censored in the comments section of a health article dealing specifically with ''the body part which cannot be named''? Yup, proud to be an American sometimes.

I wonder how the study addresses the fact that all the participants actually wanted to be circumcised... which would have a big effect on their reported satisfaction levels.

I expect that any man who wants to get it done is probably having some sort or problem or medical issue to begin with ... which skews the result of the study.

Most uncircumcised men in the world are happy and healthy with their complete ***. I imagine if you circumcised perfectly health men who don''t necessarily want to get surgery done on their *** in the first place the study would reach a different conclusion about their (dis)satisfaction of having part of their *** cut off. It''s kind of a no-brainer. For some reason there''s always some old man who grew up in the fifties trying to re-sell the idea of circumcision. Sorry, we ain''t buying it anymore, see ya!

Of all the species in the world, only man has evolved into a being where his genitalia needs to be altered just after birth. The natural evolution is so wrong that we need to get rid of that unwanted skin.

Are we missing something here. Yeah right, we do not believe in Evolution.

It''s pretty sad that it is easier to convince African males to mutilate their ******* to not contract HIV than it is to get them to wear condoms.

JeanMarie, circumcision is a substitution for showing males how to wash properly and educating them on practicing safe ***. The reduction in high risk behavior has far and away better results than lopping the end of your son''s *** off.

It''s odd that this study would come out now when I am trying to make a decision on whether or not to circumcise my son when he is born next month. The only reason I would have it done is to help reduce his risk of infection and sexually transmitted diseases as an adult.

Baileyee,, the scientific community has determined that males who are circumcised contract HIV at half the rate non-cirmcumcised males...did you miss that part? The "medical commnutity" is trying to save lives.

Muslim males are circumcised as well. Something about a covenant to god.

Dear god, to show my devotion to you I''m going to lop off the tip of my man organ! Can we get an ahmen!

But in Muslim countries and in Africa its the females that get circumcised to reduce their sexual urges. How about a study on female circumcision and see how that affects their sexual pleasure.

Only in the United States and Israel is this practice done on a large scale. This article is to support a profitable procedure for the Medical Community. It serves no other purpose. The world is uncircumcised without any problems.
