I don't believe a word of this. In times past, his net worth was ESTIMATED at one billion dollars. Even with his divorce and losing some of his endorsements, he still has millions. Now, what are his expenses? If they exceed his lifestyle, then maybe he has to lighten the load financially. But to say he is hurting, I just don't buy that statement.
As for his golfing performance, I believe there is still a chance for him to return to his greatness in this sport. What I do not like about him and never have is that he is a CONTROL FREAK! He controls everything about his life and how he is portrayed. He has never learned to be humble in my opinion with that attitude and being a control freak.

don't forget about mortgages he likely has on his golf courses too, he was building more before the scandals hit, I'm sure he still has money going to those expensive projects as well. It's hard to feel sorry for millionaires though, they know what they are getting into by being famous
by wlhoppers July 15, 2011 6:16 PM EDT This is all so much bull. I don't agree with his widespread cheating but Nike wasn't sponsoring his sex life, they were sponsoring his golf game.

A little on the dense side, I see.
Nike nor any other advertiser sponsored Tiger's golf game.
They bought his image as a winner.
And when he showed what a loser he really is, the bloom was off the rose.
shazbat34, guess everyone is gone now and you probably won't see this. My saying that his color didn't matter, it was all the other....does NOT speak volumes. There are other black athletes that I like that don't act like they are God's gift to the sports world or to the world in general. I'm from NC, a UNC fan, does the name Michael Jordan ring a bell????? And Phil Ford from UNC and many others.
