The only correct thing to do is secure the oil fields and pump into ships an equal amount of oil based on 4/1/2009 market prices that will equal the amount of money spent by all the governments in every facet of military or civilian reponse made to the peoples of Iraq.
After every government has been paid back leave and let them do what in the hell they want to do. Stop all immigration from that country immediately. Don't feel sorry for them and don't let the groups that think they are their spokesman lobby anything differently.
Give it up. They are not worth it.

"Resident Obama never mentions Iraq, does he?"

What does his being a resident have to do with it ?

"A gunman wearing an Iraqi army uniform opened fire on a U.S. military team Saturday, killing two American soldiers and wounding three others"

Torture of detainees does not make us safer.

It just makes our enemies more determined.

Yeah right. blame the Iraq war on President Obama too. Why not? You trolls blame everything on the guy who is trying to cleanup the mess left by the last Jack@ss president anyway.

While attacks on US servicemen are increasing, there are no plans to remove troops from Iraq and we are escalating our presence in Afghanistan. Didn't Obama promise to end the wars? They are now becoming Obama's wars.

Guaranteed,,,If Obama pulls the same stuff in Afghanistan that
the war criminal carried out in Iraq there will be more dems bashing
Obama than there were repubs critical of Bush,,,
(One dem bashing Obama would validate the guarantee.)

The difference between dems and repubs is ,,,With the dems the
deed characterizes the man,,,The repubs?,,,,the man characterizes
the deed.

Starts with a cult of personality, ends with a prayer for one-party rule. Individual liberties sacrificed by Left and Right with equal enthusiasm.

With all due respect, a president's popularity does not equate to a "cult of personality" or a "police state". Secondly, while I agree with you regarding sacrificing our liberties over the past 8 years, can you give an example of one individual liberty that has been sacrificed since the new administration took office?

So many innocents civilians, hundreds of thousand, have been killed and more than that are maimed and in pain-This is just a small price "Angels of Peace" can pay

I say this merely as a reminder, not as an endorsement. But if you need your own form of police state ...

Can you come up with an example of this "police state" that has apparently swept down upon us over the past 3 months? I'm at a loss as to how the US has become a police state.

Won't help anything to have a one-party state, even if it's the party you like.
Posted by U-R-So-Wrong at 1:23 PM : May 2, 2009

Funny how none of you GOP folks had a problem with one party rule from 2000-2006 as Bush started wars based on lies and profit, spied on US citizens, instituted torture, lied to our faces, and sank our economy. NOW you're all up in arms about one party rule. Is that reality really lost on you or do you choose to ignore it for convenience sake?

President the peoples advocate -- Obama betrayed our trust

Posted by Alabama_John at 12:26 PM : May 2, 2009

And I bet your the same moron who supported Bush for 8 years while he sank our country. Now you're all up in arms about Obama after your deafening silence for the past 8 years. Pathetic hypocrites. After Bush sold you down the river to Wall Street, after he sent 4000 Americans to their deaths in Iraq so that Halliburton could make another billion of your tax dollars, after all the tough talk Bush didn't catch those who perpetrated 9/11, now you're outraged after 100 days of the Obama administration which has been focused on fixing the nation after 8 years of Bush. What a joke. You are a pathetic fraud.

Osama Bin Laden is long dead. He was dead when the CIA released all those scare the sheep videos they claimed they found in bombed out buildings. It is all a very cruel joke played on not very intelligent people.

WELL GOSH so what do you call a citizen of a country that kills a armed member of the invading army. In most civilized countries he would be called a heroic defender of his homeland. I wonder if this guy might have had a mother or sister or grandmother who were in prayer on the day George Bush launched his SHOCK & AWE campaign for western big oil. Could this guy have been upset that only small bits of grandmas flesh were found on the wall of her room, held a grudge and waited until now to get even.

Republicans never mind with the silly stupid Saddam was a evil dictator crap, I refer you to the photo of he and Rummy shaking hands back when he was our good buddy.

This upswing in casualties proves one thing. Bush and his buddies were doing everything to keep casualties down while the election was on. Of course they knew they couldn't maintain a low figure but they didn't have to past November.

Managing casualties for political reasons - That's what I call a war crime!
