Oh swell. 700 Million dollar embassy and the largest EVA! But we can''t afford health care or anything else for our own people. So who got the no-bid contract to build it?

I find this obscene, and always wonder how this sort of thing can come to be? The people of this country, myself included, are just trying to survive financially. We''re working ourselves to death and can''t even afford decent medical and dental care and our government spends that kind of money on this ***??? I was outraged last year when I heard about it and am doubly so now. So, we "show our commitment" to the Iraqi people, who don''t really want us there any longer. Where is the commitment to the American People? I could use several thousand dollars to pay off my medical and dental bills, how about it?? Huh? I could use a bailout!!!!!!!!

Why so much? Wasn''t it possible to build a smaller less expensive structure that would still be effective? I for one am tired of my tax dollars being the worlds credit card.

700 million dollars! I just dont understand any of this! I mean, okay I can understand the want/need to have the embassy, but 700 milli? 1 milli would have been to much in this economy we''re suffering from. I think if the first Bush (the daddy) had done the job correctly and finished the job back in 1991 during the first gulf war, then maybe by now Iraq would have been liberated for quite some time now, be back on it''s feet for quite some time now, and able to provide for it''s own security by now! And the 700 million that the U.S. Govt is so readily able spend on that *** could have been divided up amoung its own people we desperately could use and need it...NOW! Atleast it would have gone to good use, instead they build an embassy today, that won''t be there tomorrow! They are just going to blow it up like they do the rest of anything American on that soil. It''s almost like taking a child and putting them in a house with Michael Jackson and expecting that the child wont be molested...LOL. Just food for thought...Americas officials need to think!!! We need to get better at electing folks. Like i said...i just don''t understand it.

I''''m sure the Iraqis could have made better use of that money for food, clothes, schools, roads, electricity, etc. -- you know, all the stuff we destroyed.

For real! This story, among all the other travesties occuring because of our oh-so-competent government, is enough to make a person puke their entire guts out.

The "Symbol of Continuing U.S. Commitment In Iraq" is really just a symbol of murder, oppression, occupation, and destruction.

Maybe they can form a search party to find the missing $9 Billion in cash that was "lost" early in the "war." Since it is there, I would suggest that one of Obama''s first acts as Prez would be to assign *** Cheyney as it''s guardian, since with all of the "good feelings" our occupation has developed, the Iraqi people would really probably love to have hm as close as possible to Baghdad.

I can see building an embassy in Iraq, but 700 million dollars? What did they do? Put in marble columns in the foyer, and gold plated icons in a baroque ball room. And as was previously stated, now the terrorists have a new toy to blow up.

before wall mart these christian hypocrits

were wanting us to go to war with the communists,

that was one excuse for Vietnam, of course the

animals in the republiCON party will do anything to make money, even if it is treason

Posted by pythoncharly

As I recall, involvement in Vietnam began during the Camelot Era of John Kennedy, and was escalated during the Johnson Administration after John Kennedy was assinated.

Apparently, lying and hypocrasy is non partisan.
