"No victory in Iraq, says Petraeus"

This should put an end once and for all to the McSame/Palin claim that the surge was a "success". In this Article, Gen. Petraeus states: "that recent security gains were "not irreversible" and that the US still faced a "long struggle". General Petraeus also said "the trends in Afghanistan have not gone in the right direction... and that has to be addressed". Finally, General Petraeus "said he did not know that he would ever use the word "victory": "This is not the sort of struggle where you take a hill, plant the flag and go home to a victory parade... it''s not war with a simple slogan." Well, that military know-it-all, Johnny McSame, has a lot of explaining to do to the American people. If he can''t tell the difference between "victory" and something less, than he is definitely not qualified to be Commander-in-Chief. Obama/Biden 08!!!

If they were blindfolded & shot in the head, does it still count toward getting the 72 HOs in heaven. LOL

We need to follow the Geneva convention. America''s role is to be an example. Reagan said that America is the "shining city on the hill." It''s our responsibility to fight with honor as much as possible. Keep the troops in your prayers. This is an example of how hard this war is on them, and they need our support. And pray that we can end this war and bring our boys and girls back home safe soon.

Authorities say the Iraqi men were blindfolded, shot in the head and dumped in a Baghdad canal around April 2007 in alleged retribution for casualties within the 172nd Infantry Brigade

If that is true, that is NOT war. Killing an innocent civilian in the heat of battle and blind folding and shooting an unarmed prisioner are two different things. W turned on the "wink wink" to do acts like this when he approved "enhanced interogation techniques".

Is it any wonder the military has a hard time getting and keeping volunteers? In war there are no "civilians", only your friends and your enemy. You kill your enemy (defined as anyone who isn''t your friend) so your friends can live in peace. What part of this does the power structure not understand? If we are going to be there we need to fight to win, otherwise come home!!!

Leave our troops alone & prosecute the war criminals who sent them to that hell.
