You want to protect terrorists? The Kurds have a long history of terrorism and are currently being used by the US in Iran as terrorists. Whatever happened to "we don''''t support terrorists"? The people Saddam executed where enemies of the state attempting to overthrow his gov''''t. And included the Kurdish terrorists. Who are now being supported by the US gov''''t and have been given their own little community from which to launch their terrorist attacks against Turkey. Why don''''t you try to overthrow the US gov''''t by force and see what happens? Or, you can look at what happened to David Koresh and his band of followers who opposed the US gov''''t. I find the hypocrisy of Bush supporters to be amusing in a dark sort of way.

So in other words, you support Saddam, and the people he killed that disagreed with him deserved what they got? Saddam was a dictator that had a chokehold on the people of Iraq for decades. We left him in place hoping the masses would rise up and oust him. Instead, they were squashed like bugs or sprayed with poison as a means of control. If the Kurd''s are going into Iran as terrorists then that''s news to me. I have heard about the ongoing incident''s between Turkey and the Kurd''s and wonder why I haven''t heard this about Iran. Is it covert? Is it over territory? Are they acting on our behalf because it benefits them the most and they should do the legwork?

Thanks GW and John McCain for the $4 gas! The dissruption of the oil flow in Iraq due to the nnedless US invasin and occupation there is one of many reason why we all now pay so much for gas.

We''''''''re losing our homes!

I liked looking at the fancy homes for sale on-line and wished I could have one. Reality told me to live within my means, so I did. Now I have to bail-out all the people who went beyond their means. How fair is that?

My comments about this are:
1. I don''t like this deal much, it STINKS!
IF Congress had passed tighter laws and made sure proper auditing and regulation procedures were being carried out, it''s probable THIS wouldn''t have happened.

2. I don''t think you SHOULD try to save everyone! I think you save those people who invested in modest homes under $275,000 dollars or so! Let everyone else fall!

3. All Americans who invested in homes wisely---Dems,Reps,Inds,Libs,Socialists, etc.---are being made to cover for irresponsible bankers by their paid-off stooges---Congress! What''s the solution?!

4. Vote all these d@mn incumbents out-of-office in November! It''s pretty easy! At least the so-called leadership position politicians need to go! They are WORTHLESS! Government CAN''T improve as long as Pelosi, McConnell, et al. are left there!

"Bush Beams"

Amazing.

George Bush is the archetype for the failed conservative movement.

Conservatives have a disease, a mental defect requiring intervention and treatment. Anyone who calls themselves a "conservative" should immediately be disqualified from EVER EVER EVER holding public office.

Conservatism is failure by design, a wholly emotional and irrational belief system concocted by wealthy sociopaths to appeal to poor sociopaths.

There is nothing there.

i find it interesting how you ignored my comment about those that have helped us since we''''ve been occupying their country ... and instead speak of those that came here under saddam.

it''''s in the 10''''s of thousands ... and to date about a thousand or so have been provided asylum. the rest are scattered thru the middle east waiting for someone to help them.

they helped us ... and we abandon them. but you''''re ok w/ that, right?

The first gulf war we left Saddam in charge and all our helpers were left swinging in the wind at his mercy. I want to help those displaced people as well, I think the "surge" was the only way to guarantee that. We couldn''t withdraw immediately and repeat history. I believe that many are returning home now, with a real chance at freedom. Sorry if I sounded harsh to you, I just don''t think Saddam was a prince to protect, I wanted him gone before George took office.

The impossible happened today! I found something about which I agree with you.

You suggest the Iraqis who have been helping us should not be abandoned and left to die at the hands of their fellow citizens who now consider them traitors! I ABSOLUTELY agree! It ISN''T correct!

This government should make various types of arrangements to help those who helped us!

It''s only fair, it''s only correct!
