Lauds Security Gains With Insurgents "On The Run"; Troop Deployments Reduced To 12 Months From 15
- "terrorists on the run"... blah, blah, blah. Reagan said the same thing 25 years ago.... "you can run but you can''t hide". Well, it seems that Bin Laden surely can hide, and apparently this guy is no longer an issue. Apparently Saudi Arabia is no longer an issue, you know.. the country that gave birth to, and raised 80% of the human waste that attacked this country on September the eleventh, 2001. Our allies.
Time to get off of oil altogether, and no, drilling offshore won''t solve the problem. It is time for hydrogen driven vehicles and alternate forms of energy. It is time for our country to stop protecting countries like Saudi Arabia. - Reply to this comment
- Bush can "beam" for all the lives he has murdered with
his Iraq war. What a disgrace Bush is to the world. - Reply to this comment
- Here''s the analogy I use: An arsonist sets fire to a house, and all the wood burns. When the wood is gone, there''s a chimney left standing there. The arsonist comes back and points and says "Look at that wonderful chimney! Aren''t I smart?"

- McVent, you my friend are a lost soul. Talking about big egos? Your pathetic party has the biggest egomaniacs and cocky arrogant members ever. All of them. Rove, the shrub, dickweed cheney, rumsfeld, rice, wolfowitz.. and the list goes on and on and on. The tough talk, the swagger, and the "we know what is best for you" attitude. They all make me sick. You are just another duck that quacks as soon as fox news plugs the next meaningless talking point into your tiny little brain.

- (AP) President Bush declared progress in the Iraq war Thursday, saying terrorists "are on the run" and a generally improved security environment should permit further U.S. troop reductions.

Someone should have asked him if such were they case, why do our dignitaries still have to sneak in and out of Iraq unannounced like insurgents?

- Now we can concentrate on his war crimes trial.

- Is there anyone else out there that finds an odd coincidence in the fact that the Iraq war is taking on a brighter hue just at this moment when George and Mc and their gang need a boost politically?
Is it possible that the deaths of the war are, and always have been manipulated?
Has George ever manipulated us? Of course not! We all know that we entered this war because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, Right?
It is wonderful that fewer of our troops are being killed or maimed now but in light of the above, could the deaths, casualties, pain, and heartache of the past--could there have been less?

- Why do the cons leave out facts that they don''''t like? After Desert Storm Bush senior told the Iraqi''''s if they rebelled we would support them. They rebelled and Bush senior left them hanging to be killed by the thousands.

This con believes that Bush Sr. did make a dreadful mistake by leaving Saddam in charge and adding insult to injury for those he promised to help. Instead we spent billions on a no-fly zone that contained Saddam by air. What happened on the ground remained under Saddam''s thumb, people were gassed, tortured, and palaces were erected as his peoples homes fell down around them. My family of conservatives shook our heads when they pulled back from overthrowing Saddam and felt that they made a huge mistake. - Reply to this comment
