That whole post is so full of BS and garbage that it''s nearly impossible to know where to start refuting it. In fact other then the fact that our troops are dying there I don''t think there''s one shred of truth in the whole post. - Reply to this comment

From someone who calls himself "notblue". That''s rich.
How about "notamerican"? It''s certainly as descriptive.
I love you cultists who get your panties in a bunch when Dear Leader is insulted. You''ve been so brainwashed into the personality cult that you can''t see that you''re the delusional one, making lame irrational excuses and denying facts right in from of your face.
If you hate and despise the "terrorists" I suggest you over an fight yourself. If not, shut up. - Reply to this comment

And for the longest time the neoconservatives themselves had a website that said basically that they intended to find an excuse to invade Iraq and eventually create an American empire in the Middle-East, so morons like notblue sometimes don''t even believe the truth when they people they support themselves say it! When one of us tells them that same truth they say we''re lying when we''re just repeating what the GOP neocons have said. - Reply to this comment

- Not invading Iraq was never an option for this criminal regime in Washington. The Bush neocons had the plans for a invasion of Iraq in place before Bush was even inaugurated and they were just looking for an excuse. 9-11 gave them the perfect opportunity to whip up lies about a war they intended to fight all along.

The truly sad thing, is if I type in just a couple of keywords into google, and hit "search", I can MILLIONS of hits of proof AGAINST this administration''s illegal war.
The clowns like notblue sit here and play ignorant, REFUSING to look up the truth, and then they''re completely confused about current events. Then along comes Bush, makes a speech, and they believe it as gospel, because they REFUSE to look up the truth for themselves.
How sad is that? - Reply to this comment

- John McCain of 2008, is running AGAINST the platform of John McCain of 2000 - why no complaints about that?
Posted by hungry1968
very good point! I used to respect McCain when he was a moderate which is where he stood in 2000 - on middle ground including some environmental issues. Now he''s nothing but a Bush clone. Talk about flip flopping....just look at his record. I''m not a big fan of Obama but given the conservative extreme promising essentially more of the same (when he remembers what the same is) I think it will be best to just plug my nose and vote for Obama like I did for Gore. The choices aren''t great but at least we can safely say that picking fights and blindly supporting the extremists in Isreal will be less likely to happen under a new admin. - Reply to this comment

The Manning Memo
On January 31, 2003, Bush met in the Oval Office with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. In a memo summarizing the meeting discussion, Blair%u2019s chief foreign policy advisor David Manning wrote that Bush and Blair expressed their doubts that any chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons would ever be found in Iraq, and that there was tension between Bush and Blair over finding some justification for the war that would be acceptable to other nations. Bush was so worried about the failure of the UN inspectors to find hard evidence against Hussein that he talked about three possible ways, Manning wrote, to %u201Cprovoke a confrontation%u201D with Hussein. One way, Bush said, was to fly %u201CU2 reconnaissance aircraft with fighter cover over Iraq, painted in UN colors. If Saddam fired on them, he would be in breach%u201D of UN resolutions and that would justify war. Bush was calculating to create a war, not prevent one.
