gopack443, you have to be joking, Friday, 26 May 2006 The Beattie Government today made it legal for its members to lie to State Parliament and its committees. This is the government that Mr. Rudd. was one of the main senior men. He says a lot and does nothing or does the opposite. One of his members said just before the elections that they can promise anything and after they get in they will just do what ever they want. eg..
Kevin Rudd said:

I%u2019m determined to do something about freedom of information.

Kevin Rudd four weeks after the election:

SOME of Australia%u2019s major institutions will have their media releases vetted by the Rudd Government to make sure they reflect Labor%u2019s %u201Ckey messages%u201D.

He campaigned on the terrible prices of food and petrol and said that he was going to bring the price down, and all that has happened is our inflation has gone up, petrol has gone up, food and interest rates have gone up just like last time his the left was in government.. (left wing is called Labor and the right winged is called Liberal in OZ) they blame the people for spending to much when inflation is mainly due to petrol, plus their policies which has pushed interest rates up and food, which pushes inflation up again thus interest rates are put up which increases inflation rates etc.. just like last time, and here we go again..

The article says...Several hundred other troops will remain in Iraq to act as security ...
What is the difference between fighting and security men.. And I believe that only one in 5 are going home does that constitute return home as was promised by this prime minister???
About 300 troops will remain inside Iraq for logistical and air surveillance duties, as well as guarding Australian diplomats and others in Baghdad, so in effect there is only 200 troupes returning home, sure doesn''t sound like a election promise is being fulfilled to me.

A further 500 soldiers will remain in the region, including 200 sailors aboard the frigate HMAS Stuart in the Persian Gulf.
This left winged Prime Minister has said many things but not done them.. The head lines should read, "A small number of Australian troupes go home."

We''''re over there to protect not only the American people from Islamic fundamentalism, but we''''re also over there to protect one of our greatest allies, the nation of Israel.

Israel is a barren waste land that makes us more susceptible to terrorism. They NEVER listen to any input from us, and wage their own war of terror on it''s own residents.

You seem very, very conflicted. First you act like it''s our responsibility to be the world police, and then you support our turning a blind eye to one of the most brutal governments in the world - Israel.

The USA has always brought justice and liberation throughout the world. We are known for helping other countries. More than any other country that''''s ever existed. This my friend is a good thing, not a bad thing.

BS!!! This *** started in Israel, then in Korea, and then spread to Vietnam. Later it was Lebanon, and then Somalia.

What a coincidence!! We just happened to get our a$$ kicked in every single one of those conflicts!!

It IS a very, very bad thing. "World Police" is the job of the UN - let them do it. It''s not our responsibility.

Only if another war loving republican makes it into office, and starts yet ANOTHER war for no reason.

"Rudd said the Iraq deployment has made Australia more of a target for terrorism."

Common sense from a politician?

How refreshing!!

It appears Australia''''s New Prime Minister is a bleeding heart pacifist liberal.

With their troops gone, I''m sure Australia is as safe as in their mother''s arms now.
