It makes the most sense to me that this guy got pissed at us and did what he did because of it.
It doesn''t always happen, but it''s plausible.
To raise this probability doesn''t mean one is against the US or hates the US.
Besides, Guantanamo goes against every humane treatment of prisoners: No charges, no lawyers, no end in sight, no habeas corpus, and some prisoners get very upset at this.
Nothing to do with religion, or upbringing, or what language you talk. It''s just someone who was born with a bad temper and ended up in a bad situation bringing the worst out of him.
