"Hey *** Clown! Americans get put in jail for YEARS all the time where the punishment doesn''''t fit the crime. You ever heard of MEXICO? RUSSIA? CHINA? TURKEY?" Posted by corey2444

The difference is that the Americans you mention are in other people''s countries, getting caught doing something they shouldn''t have been doing, and run afoul of the local law. The so called "detainees" on the other hand, were kidnapped from their own homes.

Even a "bird brain" as you call it understands the difference, so if it is beyond your understanding, what does that make you?

"I do not feel i owe the blacks anything more than the same opportunities made available to me." Posted by ranger1948

You don''t even owe that, but the institutions that take our tax money do. The institutions that hold our savings do. The institutions that charge us for services we purchase do. The people elected to govern us do.

"Every time something happems they don''''t like they yell rqacism". Posted by ranger1948

Correction, every time something happens that we don''t like, that clearly happens because of our ethnicity, and only because of our ethnicity, then we yell racism, and it is the truth.

"Well it is time they take actions for what they do and what members of their communities do." Posted by ranger1948

That is what the protest is about, the victims were doing nothing, it was the police that started, and finished the incident.

"When they make up 13% of the population and committ 60 % of the crimes then something is wrong with this picture."

What is wrong is the statistic is inaccurate, check it yourself, the 60% figure is the prison population, and it shows more than anything that "Whites" are sentenced to lighter terms for the same crimes as "Black" people, (also a publicly available statistic) this naturally results in a higher percentage of "Black" prisoners.

Like I said, it is still very much alive, and whether or not "White" people like it, we shall continue to fight against it.

Have a foreign country put you in prison without charges for a few years and see if YOU get a bit upset. We are making new terrorists right and left.

Yes i realize racism is alive and very active in the U.S. I see it more in blkacks than any other race. My family came here poor , never owned a slave or even knew anyone who did. I do not feel i owe the blacks anything more than the same opportunities made available to me. Every time something happems they don''t like they yell rqacism. Well it is time they take actions for what they do and what members of their communities do. When they make up 13% of the population and committ 60 % of the crimes then something is wrong with this picture. I don''t care what your race is if you cannot live within the laws of society we do not need you.

Torture Bushit or Shooter for 5 years at Gitmo and they''d probably become suicide bombers in D.C.

"It is time to get over it and unite as one nation." Posted by ranger1948

Ranger, you of all people should know that what happened 132 years ago is not the issue, it is what is happening now. It is now that job hiring, salary, promotion, housing, health care, education, and access to capital, police brutality, mortgage lending practices, and zoning ordinances, among other items, is still subject to judgment calls by "White" racists.

Do you actually believe that such people no longer exist, and such practices no longer occur?

Why is it that because "Black" people are no longer burned alive while tied to trees, that you think that the problem of racism is only in the past? That was only the most egregious form, it''s more insidious and dangerous form is still quite alive and healthy.

Just the other day, some idiot posted to the effect that in the poster''s view, a group of "Whites" displaying antipathy towards another group because they looked different, shouldn''t be called racist.

Is that the new tactic for the racists, to display xenophobia, then deny that it is racism?

As far as slavery, it never ended, it simply transcended ethnicity. If you must labor for thirty years to pay for a house you could build yourself in under two years, you are a slave, no matter what your ethnicity.

The fight for equality and justice is not a "race" issue, to win the battle benefits all, except maybe the former slave owners.

"Obviously, the administration was correct to hold that terrorist at Guantanamo." Posted by S_Temper

It is only obvious to the mentally deficient. If you were taken from your home, and held in a secret torture camp for more than 3.5 years, it is safe to assume that would make you an angry person, even if you weren''t before.

Look at yourself, they have done nothing personally to you, and you are already filled with hate towards them, what more if they were to take you from your home, fly you to a secret prison, and make you do 3.5 years without having even been charged with anything.

Obama may be cionfused in his mind about who he hates but i would guess his crack addic mother. He did throw his white grandmother underr the bus and she was the one who raised him in a wealthy environment.

Yes i believe obama is a racist. He has belonged to a racist church for 20 years, and any pastor that says GD America is not an American in my book. Yes the blacks were mistreated in the past but i think we have made amends and there hasn''t beeen slavery for 132 years. It is time to get over it and unite as one nation.

ranger1948,,,, Come on, you don''t think a racist can get into office these days, do you ?? He''s not a muslem either ----- The GOP would have a field day instead of worrying about losing the party.

I disagree with youn about obama and if hillary goes on a ticket with him i will vote for my first choice Ron Paul. I think it has been proven obama is a racist and he has a cousin that is a terrorists that he has supported financially. But i fought for thwe right for all American to have their right to their opinions and their choices. So even though i disagree with you i respect your right.

Obama will be fine, watch -- Maybe another Abe Lincoln. Both Hillary & Obama would make a great President ---- But, it''s looking like Clinton''s getting pressure to drop out.
