Until the three major powers can diplomatically get there heads out of there a$$e$ and work together to look at the planet as a whole and not just the interests of their own country, we are in for a long haul down a steep mountain, losing brake fluid on the way.

kaviz....Well, Saddam is gone and Iraq is a different place now.. I was just curious if the Democrats will take a stance of "isolationism" and withdraw in the hopes that we will be "liked" around the globe, and to concentrate on domestic issues and ignoring terrorists, in order to reduce the "recruitment" rate.

Remember these people kill the women and children, then throw em in with the bad guys and cry we did it , oh , how inhuman,Heard of anyone else taping bombs to girls and blowing up women and kids ,etc. Why don''t such primitive tactics work in the 21 st century ?

I''m not sure which democrat could deal whith the situation that seems to be snowballing out of control. I''m pretty sure John McCains floppling to the Bush agenda will not improve things. I know diplomacy at this point seems to be a futile option, but it was keeping sadam in line until we attacked.

kaviz...so whats the solution, stop fighting them and they will "leave us alone" ? Dis-engage, withdraw, remove our presence and let them do what they please ? will this reduce the new recruits ?

And in the world view, we are the ones trying to beat them into submition which only feeds their capability to increase new recruits.
