Don,,, I read that also & obviously didn''t see the light you did --- Yes in every recession there are some areas that still do well, nothing new. But over-generalizing as you do is totally missleading.

I''m suprised you mention the health care industry with all the problems they have with higher costs & greater needs.

Blue Collar jobs are lost & an even more revealing aspect is the loss in our service & small business industries ------ This economy is effecting major chains, stores are closing.

J, food price increase is up almost completely due to corn being used "wastefully" in the biofuel production.

We will all realize soon that more energy is required to make it than it is worth and that it is harming all our other food industries: cattle, chicken and everything else that uses corn for feed.

The real issue is that we do not have enough domestic fuel and we do not have an alternative ready for "prime time".

Don,,,, You seriously need to study the issues & quit playing with your CoralDraw Paint program -- Not only America is hurting, war expense & global food expenses have increased as our dollar keeps shrinking

J, we are not in a recession "everywhere" in America.

BTW, read an article this week on health care industry. More jobs have been created in the last 5 years in the health care industry than lost in manufacturing........ interesting.

One of the reasons the unemployment is not higher with all the loss of manufacturing blue collar jobs.

''Course, those blue collar guys are just clingers holding on to their religion and guns cause they don''t know no better.

J, 40% of the Boeing proposed plane is built outside of the US also,,,,,, that is life in the industry.

The airbus would be 40% US content and would be required to have a plant and all spares production in the US.

J, we have recessions every 6 yo 9 years. It is part of the American economic model. The recessions actually are required for the economy to improve efficiency and thus grow again.

Market has bottomed and is up big today again.

Look at IBM, HP, Intel and etc earnings. JP Morgan also reported that we are about 80% through the financial bubble busting and resolution.
