And there you go again! Totally failing to recognize the difference between good and evil! We went into Iraq to get rid of an EVIL DICTATOR who''''''''s name was SADDAM HUSSEIN who murdered thousands of his OWN PEOPLE simply for refusing to adhere to his dictatorship rule!
Posted by arlt1627 at 02:53 PM : Apr 15, 2008

What did Saddam have to do with 911? Nothing

Who was responsible for 911? Bin Laden
Where was Bin Laden? Afganistan
Were there any terrorists or WMD''s in Iraq? No
Why did we send a token of troops after Bin Laden and the majority of troops to Iraq? Thats the $64,000 question.

Why were there not any WMD''s in Iraq? Because the chemicals given to Saddam under the Regan administration had long since discenigrated, therefore there were none.

Should we have gone after Saddam Hussein?
Not before we captured the people responsible for 911.

To fight Iran mr. Denial. Ronald Reagan didn''''t hand weapons and financing to Saddam with the knowledge that he would end up using those weapons on his own people.

But I know, your intense hatred of the GOP consumes you.

That''''s why you can''''t see the evil in Islamic Jihad.

You don''''t take the Scriptures literally, so that explains allot about your character and lack of total faith.

Here''s your gray area Rick? Are you telling me that Reagan was naive and didn''t think Saddam was a bad guy? Come on!!! Oh....did we train Osama Bin Laden terrorist tactics, guerilla warfare and intelligence gathering? The point is, you can have the best intentions to do something, but it can have horrible consequences. Your posts tell me something about you to!

What about all the other evil dictators of the world. How come we''re not wiping them out? Oh, I forgot...they''re not sitting on 1/4 of the world''s oil supply.

I don''t take the Bible literally because it was not written by Jesus or God himself. It was a collection of writings by man. Man is flawed and has sinned.

People who vote for Republicans are very angry right now. They feel somewhat responsible for our brothers and sisters dying in Iraq, and they should, but that does not mean that because you voted for a warmonger in the last few elections that you have to continue to do so.

Republicans:
Stop feeling so bad and stop voting for GOP''er just because you keep hearing the word "team" associated with them. This is not Football, your votes can help decide whether our brothers and sisters fight and die for causes that all Americans believe in and support.

Do not let your guilt get in the way of your intelligence!
By the way, where are the centrist Republicans? Why does the GOP have to have a big rubber stamp as a constituency?

I would rather have a "inexperienced" Democrat wasting a 500 billion on helping the poor or disabled or uneducated, than have a neo-con Republican blow 500 billion on killing tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi and thousands of US service men and women.

In the last 8 years or so Republicans have shown me that they will do anything and everything in their power to keep you from retaining an opinion based on the facts that their incompetence is comprised of.

Now do I think Ronald Reagan was evil? No. Do I think Ronald Reagan meant well? Sure. Do I think Ronald Reagan was sometimes wrong? Yes.

Rick, then WHY did the United States and Ronald Reagan provide money, chemical weapons and other munitions to Saddam from 1980-1989?

One thing I KNOW is, I don''t really know why G.W. Bush sent US service men and women to be killed and maimed in Iraq. We do have some smart people in our government, but they%u2019re not in the White House, that I know too.

Most of the experts, Bush and Chenney had at their disposal, said going to Iraq is a mistake.

DOE: "The tubes cannot be use for a centrifuge"
CIA: "NO yellow cake connection"
NSA: "no contact between Iraq and Al Qaeda"
Pentagon: "Taking Iraq will be a long a hard fought guerrilla warfare exercise"

Funny, I don''t remember hearing much of this dissent in the run-up to "The GOP/Bush Iraq War".
Why?

Message to Bush, Chenney, Rumsfeld, Libby, and all the rest of the White House fools:

I put the blame solely in your hands for the cursory war in Iraq, which you and your sloppy administration led us into.

Shame on Republicans for their lack of imagination, their poor performance as leaders and their willful ignorance when adapting policies that affect the lives of every American.

We have to do everything in our power to remove these incompetent leaders from power.

Americans need to vote with their minds and not their emotions so Congress and the White House can be made up of leaders that will do the same.

Rick,
You need to read it more, evidently. I''''m not going to point out the Scriptures, I''''ll just leave it in your hands to take the responsibility to look up the verses.

That is if you really want the honest answers from the Word. IT''''s all on you bud.

Posted by liberalbias1 at 02:40 PM : Apr 15, 2008

What do the scriptures tell you about the invasion of Iraq? Do they provide honest answers for that one? I don''t know everything in the Bible. But I''m pretty sure it was written by humans and is a guidance to Christianity. I DO NOT take everything "literally" from it like some of us do.

Fighters in Iraq can not just simply be labeled terrorist like we would label the Taliban and Bin Laden.

These people are actually "INSURGENTS", who LIVE IN IRAQ. Because of US presents in Iraq the various factions of people of Iraq are now fighting each other for power. Iraq is very close to a civil war....

Don''t bomb the hell out of people who already had running water and power. Schools to take their children, police on the streets. Sure there are tyrants but ***, there are other ways to beat them...
