jamesm12341,,,,, ... There is no progress in Iraq, security is as it was in 2005... the U.S. risks getting bogged down in Iraq for a long time to come, with serious consequences for its interests in other parts of the world. The cost is high. The U.S. commitment to Iraq carries a massive cost, both human and financial, in addition to the global interests the U.S. is sacrificing to its commitment in Iraq. Even if progress in Iraq continues, the results may not be worth the cost.

The folks who DO want to be taken care of, and are prepared to pay for it, are the big corporations.

In particular, those corporations who buy a Presidency for an alcoholic, cocaine sniffing, cowardly idiot son of an idiot - GW Bush.

It''s called "socialistic capitalism". It''s quite sad really. The neo cons constantly and continually decry welfare, food stamps, medicaid, and the like because a lot of people abuse the system, while giving no thought what so ever to the people who use it as it was intended - a safety net. They just cry and whine about all the people soaking the system.

But when these big billion dollar corporations need a bailout, the neo cons quickly defend the government''s action, even though the CEO and board of directors are collecting hundreds of millions of dollars for their "leadership" in running these companies into the ground.

And when us "liberals" decry the bailout as being corporate welfare, we''re told to mind our own business.

Now a question - are these companies that are relying on these big, tax payer funded bailouts, going to pay US back with interest once they get back on their feet?

Under Saddam Hussein, the militant Shiite extremists did not have weapons....

Thank Haliburton for losing two containers full of weapons and ammo, and thank Blackwater for covertly giving the Sunni insurgents weapons to fight the fictitious al Qaeda in Iraq.

Once again, you can''t actually talk about something that relates to the topic, you need to go off and start raving like an idiot about how "libs" apparently want the Government to take care of them.

Sad fact is, they don''t.

The folks who DO want to be taken care of, and are prepared to pay for it, are the big corporations.

Re: "U.S. commanders have blamed what they call Iranian-backed rogue militia groups for launching missiles against American forces. American commanders say Iran supplies the militias with armor-piercing roadside bombs known as explosively formed penetrators or EFPs and other weapons."

More unsupported irrelevant blather about Iran. Blaming and lying is about all that they have left.

Now that they''ve toned down their fake "al-Qaeda-in-Iraq" ruse for the moment, they can ramp up the blame Iran effort.

I would like to take this opportunity to mark this as exhibit "Y", in the case of CBS News complicity in the lie-based fomentation of yet another criminal war of aggression, this time against Iran.

One more, and you will have completed the entire alphabet, CBS, entitling your news director to an all expense payed trip to the Hague, and a free hinting excursion with *** Cheney.
