Will they stop "stop loss" so that our people aren''''t held captive by our military? So many guys can''''t leave the army even if their enlistments run out. Imagine being in that situation. What a terrible terrible country we live in now. Imagine what those guys go through just riding down the street waiting to get blown up. Bush is torturing our troops. A veteran.

You know, it is in our contract that we can be held on Actice Duty. I don''t see it as you do. Of course, I have been in the Military for 19 years. And before you ask, I am going to Iraq come August.

The Cowardly Cowboy will be out of a job on January 20th. I''d like to suggest that he take a full "tour" himself. The one he missed out on when the rest of us were in the service with him in the 60''s.

Bush and Cheney are such gutless yellow-bellied cowards that they''d pis*s themselves the first time they heard a twig snap. Though they might be willing to send some of their kids and grandkids off to die if they thought there was more money in it.

I want to see Bush and Cheney on point for a one month tour and their children in theater for the remaining 11 months. Then and only then will I believe this Iraq war is worth fighting.

Don''t shorten the tours! Stop them altogether! Stop sending our troops to die for the profits of a few huge corporations!

They should have shortened tours tears ago.Combat Stress,or Fatigue is a bad thing if not addressed or noticed in a soldier. It took years for Doctors to figure out I have PTSD and was self medicating. After 6 weeks in the VA hospital pycho ward,I was ran through a regiment of different medications, they found a combination that works for me.I am deeply thankful for the Indianapolis VAMC for what they did for me.I was on the edge of suicide. They are getting good, and shortening tours of combat will truly help our troops I am sure as an Eagle flies.

Are the tours reduced from fifteen months to twelve months on the second, third, or fourth tour?

Hey McCain --- You should learn something about the military & the problems they have --

-- They have a bigger problem with retaining experianced troops & officers as they do with getting new volunteers

The new plan is to use more "BLACKWATER" secret troops too. Don''t be fooled. Bush will use every trick in the book for the upcoming presidential election - to get his guy back in!

Go to youtube and look up "Blackwater" - prepared to be shocked.

Rowdy, I did NOT say "he hasn''t flip flopped". (Read it again.) And it is ludicrus to claim Obama has flip-flopped on "every stance he''s ever taken". Not even Bush or McCain have managed that feat.

I won''t waste time arguing with you about things I did not say.
