donbl1, I agree. It is just that he might die soon. Look at average life expectancy.

fibonacci, calling someone "old" and therefore not qualified, to me, is the same as calling someone Black and therefore not qualified to lead the majority.

The candidate we select must stand on his record of achievements and what we think he will do for America.

The Basra battle (and Sadr city) ended in true Iraqi fashion..... all parties saving face.

A few things seem to be coming out of this:

1. The Iraqi Army is getting stronger but still needs US air power.
2. Maliki is taking firmer control and his confidence is high
3. Infiltrators into the police and army were found out and will now be excised.
4. US got out of this before it became full blown and lasted into November (elections)
5. Iranian Shias now telling Iran to stop the weapons flow and support for militias.
6. Iraqi central government getting stronger.

McCain today was licking Romneys ----. "Romney is fluent in Chinese". What a laugh, yea right. Repubs are just too dumb. You think someone speaks a language fluently when they have never lived there...especially a langauge as different as Chinese. NO CHANCE.
