sevenveils,

Re: "What we are being told here is Iran''''s proxy army is occupying Basra."

While you continue to make this claim, so far you have failed to make this case.

There is zero evidence that Iran has any involvement in this.

The people of Iraq have every right to defend themselves against the brutal and criminal invasion of their country, against collaborators, and against the installed stooge-officials.

Good luck to them.

The Iraqi people dont see US invasion so brutal as you. In fact they see the US forces as LIBERATORS. We are the guys who gave them freedom. They are enjoying their cell phones, internet, cable TV , computers, etc, etc. With Saddam Hussein they couldnt even SPEAK.

"Basra has been largely run by militias, most notably the powerful Mahdi Army, controlled by radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr"

What we are being told here is Iran''s proxy army is occupying Basra.

From the article-

Re: "An American financial analyst working for the embassy was killed in a rocket attack on Sunday."

CBS Nooz fails to mention that this man was killed within the Green Zone, demonstrating that U.S. forces cannot even defend that location right now.

The Iraqi resistance fighters appear to be implementing their own troop reduction plan.

You are entitled to your version of history I guess. The rest of the world will hopefully not mistake yours for the actual history (but that''''s certainly what you''''re hoping for, isn''''t it?)

Wow, aren''t you the cream on the cake. What I''ve given you accurately points out that the democratic congress cut off funding for Vietnam. We were already out of there and the only thing fueling the South was our funding. The Democrats killed it. I''ve given you ample information to support it and you refute it with your foolish *********. Chase-Church won bi-partisan support for getting the troops out, the Democrats cut off funding. Now you can go on and on and on about your version of history as you like to interpret it leaning on Chase-Church until you turn blue, but facts are facts and the democratic majority cut the funds. But alas, interacting with you has been a fools endeavor. I will not respond to your numskull interpretation again.

Like I said, wallow in your victimizations. It becomes you all. Look at your you - very untypical white people, wanting all your entitlements.

notblue,

Re: "They have NO interest in helping the Iraqi people."

It is not your place to say what their interests are.

Re: "The Majority of TRUE Iraqis will not be ruled by a barbaric puppet extremist representing Iran''s interests."

That is up to the Iraqis. You have no say in the matter.

Re: "Al Sadre is not the harbinger of peace..."

I did not say that he was. It looks like you are helpless to argue your point of view without constructing straw-men to knock down.

The people of Iraq have every right to defend themselves against the brutal and criminal invasion of their country, against collaborators, and against the installed stooge-officials.

Good luck to them.

It''s not the amendment fool, it''s who implemented it use.

Wow. In all my years of dealing with rightwing nuts you really take the cake. The facts are there but you still insist on your beliefs over reality.

Republicans could have fillibustered the bill. They certainly didn''t have to vote for it knowing what would happen. Regardless, the reality is that bipartisan support ended the Vietnam war.

You are entitled to your version of history I guess. The rest of the world will hopefully not mistake yours for the actual history (but that''s certainly what you''re hoping for, isn''t it?)
