Don,,,,, Give us a break pal --- Regan did not tear down the Berlin wall or end the CCCP

Neither Bush or McCain is a Ronald Reagan & yet all 3 contribute to genocides & damage to our national security we suffer from decades later.

It''''s time for them to stand on their own. We only train our soldiers for 10 weeks or so before we send them into battle. Five years training and they should be good to go. Nobody, including you, has all the answers but the fact is that we need to approach this from a new angle. What we have been doing is not working.

Element,,,Sorry to disappoint you but combating suicide fighters is not like patrolling an American street. It takes more than just "training".

Rowdy, the Berlin Wall fell after Reagan left office but Reagan is given most of the credit for the demise of CCCP.

Bush43? Leaving low but the odds are he will move higher.

Bush being at the very lowest can only go a couple of percentage points higher. There''s no other direction to go! Unless he brings in a regular love-in in Iraq between now and January, he''s pretty much a done deal.

jamesm12341,,,,, Just when in the last 8 years have either you or Bush been right on anything ???? ---- McCain is just another Bush ------- You are going in reverse in the War on Terror & have now given Al Queda a permanent foot hold in the Middle East

BaghdadsHere...You''ve had a lot to say today and about 95% of it came right out of your azz. Like your comment that bush was admired around the world. NOT! Your idea that if we don''t stay in Iraq that Iran would take over the middle east is pure hogwash. We actually have two alternatives. One, we can stay in Iraq for the next 100 years as McCain advocates or, two,we can invade Iran. Option number two is definately out which leaves number one. Or, we could do a staged withdrawl and let the Iraquis defend their country. I guess that makes for three options. Sooner or later we have to make a move. The democratic candidates both advocate staged withdrawls although not exactly in the same way. We have been training the Iraqi army for 5 years. It''s time for them to stand on their own. We only train our soldiers for 10 weeks or so before we send them into battle. Five years training and they should be good to go. Nobody, including you, has all the answers but the fact is that we need to approach this from a new angle. What we have been doing is not working.

FellFree1,,,,I have 2 news for you. The good one is that Bush will pull out of Iraq in November. Now the bad one: McCain will replace him as commander-in-chief to lead Iraq in its way to a successful democracy.
