It certainly doesn''t tie in with anything that GW Bush or his admin have ever claimed, and nor does it even make sense.

It disregards the real root causes of the Palestinian/Israel conflict, and until they are addressed, the conflict will continue.

You will probably never find a memo of the meeting in which he is said (heresay) to have spoken those words.

The author of the original article which raised it, has claimed to have spoken to three people who were at the meeting - and they all stated that GW Bush spoke those words.

Whether you wish to believe it or not is up to you.

For me, I only need look at his actions and the way that he declares his ultimate authority over certain rights that the Constitution is supposed to protect to make my mind up.

The idea was with Saddam gone, the Palistinians would not have a big brother to kick Israel''s butt, they would have to make peace and that is the root cause of most of the Middle East problems.
