what makes me laugh are these buffoons that let a draft dodger tell em how to fight and when we are winning.

Or when he lands on the deck of an aircraft carrier in a flight suit like he''s some kind of hero pilot who''s fighting the war himself, but when he was called on to fight, he was nothing but an AWOL, draft dodging coward.

I guess it''s easier to be brave when you can send people to fight, instead of fighting himself.

Friggin'' coward!!

For those who may not have been following this story, the Brits were KICKED out of Basra- Iraq''s second largest city- by the armed Iraqi resistance.

"How do you define progress on the War on Terror ???"

Anything that makes a Liberal mad or pissed off.

Considering that Bush pulled most of our troops out of Afghanistan, (ie. the actual "War on Terror"), and massed them in Iraq instead, it''s hard to see how you can define any progress in the WOT.

I''m assuming that you''re a typical confused war mongering, neo con that thinks that there is a relationship between Iraq and the actual "War on Terror".

But, what pisses this liberal off is seeing American soldiers being asked to make the ultimate sacrifice for nothing. Nothing to do with America. Not upholding our Constitution. Not defending our freedoms, liberties, or way of life. Nothing to do with our safety or security. Nothing to do with our economy. Nothing to do with our nation at all. That really pisses me off to no end.

I guess then since I''m pissed off, you probably consider that as "progress". Never mind that it comes at the expense of American soldiers lives, right?

"Absolutly. The libs on this site used to say there was no way we were going to win in Iraq, and that the surge would just get more killed.

They have pretty much shut up about that - too embarrassed I guess. Well, don''''t be a stranger..."

Um, well if the troops had gone the other direction and come home instead of gone back in then any troops who have died since the beginning of the surge would still be alive right now and probably would have spent the day shopping for gifts for their loved ones. And how do you know whether hammering out an agreement BEFORE the surge might have saved MORE Iraqi lives than a surge where thousands are still dying every month.

I wouldn''t be bragging about your predictive powers either given that you probably think they''re still going to stumble upon that cache of ''WMD''s'' one of these days . . .

We have not been attacked even one time on our soil.

Note -- I meant we have not been attacked even once on our soil since 9/11, of course.

Thank-you, bobmarisol, for being the voice of reason.

As for J-whitman''s comments, I''ve grown used to them, and in fact encourage him to make them. All they serve to do is discredit himself.

You are expressing the very points I have tried to impress upon him since about six months ago.

There are many Bush Bashers on this site. Some are far left US politically, and then there are a few even farther to the left, that think the Democrats aren''t liberal enough. Feelfree is a hugo chavez supporter.

The guy with the pen name poopusbuttus (go figure..) pretty much made a complete list of them a few pages back.
