Feelfree1, apparently, you have never served. Friendly fire was MUCH worse in Vietnam, WWII and Korea. Reason? Artillery and communications.

Now, the bombs are GPS or laser guided - that was developed for many reasons INCLUDING reducing friendly fire.

That is what happens when you only get the sound bites and not the entire context of the event. Terrible to have friendly fire but it happens and always needs to be minimized.

donbl1,

Re: "Time for change is now unless you are happy with $100/barrel oil."

I am certainly not. I would like to see it reach $500/bbl.

If America had not been held back in drilling, nuclear power and shale the past many years, the little egomaniacs like Chavez and Achmadenajad (or whatever) would not be important and their soap boxes would be flat. They might not even be in power.......

This situation we Americans are in is transient and we will have a pragmatic discussion of the solutions available immediately in the 2008 election. Time for change is now unless you are happy with $100/barrel oil.

Chavez and Ah_MAD_nejad the nuts said in a meeting today after the OPEC summit that the end of "imperialism" are near and that dollar will be replaced as international currency.Thats funny cause they didnt explained wich currency will be adopted after all, if it will be the Venezuelan peso or what. In fact I think that the end of Iranian extremist empire is much near bcause certainly Israel and The United States are preparing a big surprise for Ah_MAD_nejad. Just wait and see.

FeelFree1 - I don''t understand why either the Democrats or Republicans would want to ruin Venzuwala''s economy ?

Lat time I looked - Afghanistan is all but over, and Iraq was getting better by leaps and bounds, commie.

Too bad yor ilk didn''t fair so good in Afghanistan. Sure got their butts kisked, didn''t they ?

So, was hugo in Afghanistan ?

Baghdad says he was thrown out with the bathwater as a baby (waste of good used bathwater.) Is that why he is such a jerk ?
