"Ice, never going to happen. Just the Demos wasting time on politics and fear mongering."

The GOP has a lot of nerve to be throwing those accusations around.

You don"t actually want to pay higher taxes for this war, which means either you think "Freedom is Free" or else that the war isn"t worth that sacrifice.

"I have difficulties distinguishing "evil and smart" from "good and stupid" sometimes. Which is Bush?"

I wonder if he himself knows--does he wake up with a schedule full of evildoing, or does he genuinely believe he is doing something good somehow? And if he knows, what about his team and donors--do they all think they are doing good, and if so good for whom?

I actually suspect most evildoers think they are doing good in some way.

Sepmer Fi, AJ.

Bush knows full well what he is doing and knows full well that he does not have the country''s support in doing so.

He has sworn twice to uphold our constitution yet assails it at every opportunity.

What does one need beyond that to find out where they man''s character is to be found?

"...taking Communist Chinese money..."

Bush has been doing it for a long time.

Here"s a story I must have missed at cbsnews.com:

"Democrats Propose Tax Surcharge for War
[AP - Wednesday, October 3]

WASHINGTON - Arguing it is unfair to continue to pass the cost of the war in Iraq to future generations, three senior House Democrats Tuesday offered a long-shot plan to raise taxes to pay for the $150 billion bill for the war in 2008."

["FREEDOM ISN"T FREE" -- a catchy slogan that the GOP doesn"t actually believe, when it comes to paying for their beloved quagmire.]

"At the same time, one of the Democrats, Rep. David Obey of Wisconsin, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, announced he would delay action on the White House''s war request for next year, saying he refuses "to continue the status quo."

The tax plan, unveiled by Obey and Reps. John Murtha, D-Pa., and Jim McGovern, D-Mass., would require low- and middle-income taxpayers to add 2 percent to their tax bill. Wealthier people would add a 12 to 15 percent surcharge, Obey said."

Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations.

If I were as ignorant as you obviously are, the last thing I would do is show the world that such is the case. You have absolutely no idea as to what you are adressing.

As a signatory nation to the U.N Charter, we pledge to defend any other member nation should they be attacked as they pledge to defend us if attacked.

If you want to withdraw from the U.N, so be it. But ignoring our commitment while still a founding member nation is to tell the world "Yeah, we sign treaties and charters but it doesn''t mean anything"...

And this is what you espouse.

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Dorko was in stable condition and was evacuated to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. His injuries were not life-threatening.

A second soldier wounded in the attack was treated and released.

So I am wondering... Neither of these mens injuries were life threating but look who got released and look who is still sucking off the gelatine supply of the world! Pampered Generals... Wow, can I hear more about the soldier that has probably lost a limb???

The 27 policemen killed by a suicide bomber who beat their security and did what he thought was right. Now, a US general bombed and is quickly transported to Germany.
Does this mean the surge is working?

"War with Iran" is a great Neocon Wet Dream.

As such it serves a useful purpose. It keeps them occupied, away from the airport rest rooms and off the streets.

It"s never going to happen in reality. The American people are not going to fall for the WMD scare again, this soon after October 2002.

"If Iran is that great a danger, let the vaunted Israelis deal with it. They have the most to lose."

That"s what the American taxpayers will say. The smart ones, anyway.

"So who"s betting on when the upcoming war with Iran will start?"
- Posted by USAyesterday at 09:55 PM : Oct 29, 2007

Fifteen minutes past Never.

Bush would never get away with that, after the way Iraq has gone.

The same phony pretexts that led to a quagmire with Iraq, a nation of 27 million people, will never work now, to get us embroiled with Iran, a nation of 70 million.

Israel has more to fear from Iranian nukes than anyone else. Let Israel take care of that problem.

The American taxpayers have a right to expect something in return, after all the big bucks they"ve shelled out for the Israeli armed forces over the past 58 years.

Let Israel do it.

..........

Yep, and that would be under NSPD #51 (National Security Presidential Directive #51)

And when that happens...

later on, it won''t be lead paint coming from China that we''d have to worry about!
