How about it CBS? If this woman ends up dead or imprisoned now, before she is able to tell her story to the U.S. mainstream press, you guys are going to have a lot to answer for.

"Certain officials in this country are engaged in treason against the United States and its interests and its national security," she said during an interview an August 2005 interview on Democracy Now. That comment followed 60 Minutes'' revelation years before alleging that Edmonds had information revealing that a "Turkish intelligence officer" she worked with at the FBI "had spies working for him inside the US State Department and at the Pentagon."

She''s briefed many legislative offices --- as well as the 9/11 Commission --- in regard to her claims, and now, she says, she''s even prepared to tell the media "the names of every single Congressional office who has received the names of the witnesses" to the crimes she''s detailed.

When we spoke last week, Edmonds seemed to reserve most of her frustration for Congressman Henry Waxman''s office. Waxman is the Democratic Chairman of the U.S. House Government Reform and Oversight Committee.

Send a 19 year old kid to a country with no clear mission, no mastery of the local language, little or no understanding of the Iraqi culture, and tell him to drive around in an unarmored vehicle. That is supposed to show the world that we''re tough?

Who else does this? Oh yeah, the Soviets did it in Afghanistan. Look how well that worked out for all of us.

Re: "OK, who was providing security? If Al Qaeda is indeed guilty, answer this question, and then you know who is sponsoring Al Qaeda, and why."

Again, ''brianbwb'' delivers a direct hit.

Here''s my promise to the American Public: If anyone of the major networks --- ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX --- promise to air the entire segment, without editing, I promise to tell them everything that I know," about everything mentioned above, she told us.

"I can tell the American public exactly what it is, and what it is that they are covering up," she continued. "I''m not compromising ongoing investigations," Edmonds explained, because "they''ve all been shut down since."

"You put me on air live, or unedited. If I''m given the time, I will give the American people the exact reason of what I''ve been gagged from saying because of the States Secrets Privilege, and why it is that I''m the most gagged person in the history of the United States."

"My feeling is that none of them have the guts to do that," she dared them, before charging, "they are all manipulated."

Ah yes, "seven-pesos"... gee, I miss him!

He was quite artful in his branding though... I mean, how many of you can remember his closing statement in ALL of his postings?....

....I''m sure you all know!

Now that''s called (in marketing) "building a brand"

Attention CBS 60 Minutes: we''ve got a huge scoop for you. If you want it.

Remember the exclusive story you aired on Sibel Edmonds, originally on October 27th, 2002, when she was not allowed to tell you everything that she heard while serving as an FBI translator after 9/11 because she was gagged by the rarely-invoked "States Secret Privilege"? Well, she''s still gagged. In fact, as the ACLU first described her, she''s "the most gagged person in the history of the United States of America."

"How will history judge Bush as another Nixon or as a Barney Fife/Benedict Arnold. Seeing as I really do not believe Bush had the intelligence to actually "betray" us. History will not look kindly upon him."

The Ash-heap of History beckons Dubya.

He will be warmly received there.

At least they"re no longer talking about "the Cackle" -- the phoniest campaign non-issue I ever heard of. (For a while there one idiot Bush-booster was posting the words "CACKLE CACKLE CACKLE" over and over again in a spamming campaign worthy of the late seven-pesos, but apparently he"s been banned now too.)

They don"t even talk about John Edwards" $50 haircut much either.

"[Bush] has torpedoed his own party becoming a pariah among his own. Not a single Repub candidate will be photographed with him. Not a single Repub candidate invites him to a fundraiser or will share a podium with him."

Jay Leno noted a while back that the GOP hasn"t yet settled on a site for their 2008 Convention: "They"re afraid George W. Bush will find out about it, and show up."

Newt Gingrich knew what he was talking about when he said that the GOP"s only hope in November 2008 is to make a "clean break" with Bush.

Rudy Giuliani"s "Thank God Bush is President" quote will come back to haunt him if he wins the nomination.

When it''s all said and done, history will view Bush as being as big of a failure as president as he was in the private sector.

He could sell himself, but couldn''t deliver.

What had Bush accomplished with Dubya Boondoggles I and II (Afghanistan and Iraq)?

He has increased terrorism, rather than diminish it, according to our own 16 intelligence agencies.

He has converted the U.S. from an historic opponent of agressor nations into an agressor nation itself.

He has shown the world that the U.S. can start wars, but not effectively prosecute them.

He has shown the world that even though he has not the support of his constituents, he will do as he *** well pleases. Isn''t that a dictator mindset?

He has torpedoed his own party becoming a pariah among his own. Not a single Repub candidate will be photographed with him. Not a single Repub candidate invites him to a fundraiser or will share a podium with him.

He has mortgaged the futures of our children spending money we do not have waging war in an attempt to have a legacy other then that of a complete moron.

n my view, Bush indeed, has comitted impeachable offenses. Why has impeachment not reached the table, you ask.

I believe the answer lies in the fact that the dems do not hols enough of a majority to actually impeach Bush.

An attempt to impeach that is guaranteed to fail would be an endorsement of sorts for this administration by the Dems.

Bush would then say "See, I''''ve done nothing that warrants impeachment".

The Dems are not about to give this administration any such type of endorsement, real or perceived.

Posted by formrusmcsgt at 11:25 PM : Oct 29, 2007

The Dems do not want to be perceived as having the same behavior and mindset as the Republicans were with Clinton.

To continue AJ, this adminstration has used demonisation of any opposed to their agenda to an art form.

Those who support warmongering are "patriots".

Those who support losing our Constitutional rights are "patriots".

Those who support sabre-rattling instead of statemanship and diplomacy are "patriots".

This redifining of the word "patriot" would be absolutely ludicrous if there were not so many anxious to believe it.

"Patriots" support what is good for our country. Not that which threatens it or tears it apart.
