Thanks, I''m doing alright really, it''s amazing what modern medicine can do. The wife got checked and we matched tissue wise, so she became a living donor for me. We''ve been together 20 years, she said she didn''t want to lose me; is that love or is that love. - Reply to this comment

- I think we are already in deep, deep, trouble. This deal with the marines, I can''t help but think that that is how military folks take over governments. It''s happened many times in many countries. Are we immune when the suits gather so much power that they are not just above the law, but THE law?

Nice try but we all know what Rush meant. He wasn''t just talking about people pulling a fraud. Every liberal minded person on this forum experiences this c r a p first hand. - Reply to this comment

- Why wouldn''t anyone stick up for Rush? How people can interpret the ''phony soldiers'' as it has been portrayed boggles me.
Why does it boggle you? Rush insulted an American soldier because he didn''t like his political view. There''s only one way to intepret calling a real soldier a "phony" soldier - unless you think "phony" is a compliment.

Except that Rush NEVER insulted an American soldier; he was referring correctly to "phony soldiers":
CALLER: And what''s really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.
RUSH: The phony soldiers.
The caller starts out by saying the media "never talks to REAL soldiers" and then Rush comments on those soldiers the media drags out (the not "real" ones) as "phony soldiers". He later gives an example of one of them, MacBeth which he has talked about previously and mentioned in his Morning Update feature the DAY BEFORE. Is that not clear to you?
So what would YOU call those guys that have lied about being in the military and the things he saw and was ordered to do and is now going to jail for it? Are you defending their actions and calling them "real" soldiers? - Reply to this comment

- I thought it was Army-Navy that was the biggest rivalry? You know, as in football? It''s the only time the services really get to duke it out.

About IVAW
"Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) was founded by Iraq war veterans in July 2004 at the annual convention of Veterans for Peace (VFP) in Boston to give a voice to the large number of active duty service people and veterans who are against this war, but are under various pressures to remain silent.
From its inception, IVAW has called for:
Immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces in Iraq;
Reparations for the destruction and corporate pillaging of Iraq so that Iraqi people can control their own lives and future;
and
Full benefits, adequate healthcare (including mental health), and other supports for returning servicemen and women."
