But in your eyes, it would be alright for Arabs to occupy American lands, right?

***? Speak to reality NOT your xenophobic paranoia. The fact is that since the crusades, the West has invaded, killed, maimed, bombed the ME and other Arab lands for the past 300 years of so. The numbers of time it was reversed since the 1700''s? NONE

Every time the west invades the east, we talk about how much they are plotting and wanting to take over, kill us and convert us--then we turn around and preemptively do it to them. Who are the real monsters? Get a clue..they can be had for free if you just think.

"Iraqi authorities want the U.S. government to sever all contracts in Iraq with Blackwater USA within six months and pay $8 million in compensation to each of the families of 17 people killed when the firm''s guards sprayed .."

LOL. DREAM ON IRAQ.... I believe the Defense dept has already set the payout amount at 15,000.00 per person or per family which is still more than the normal 600.00 per person that the military pays when they mistakenly kill an Iraqi and it can be proven it was a mistake, the person has ID (birth certificate, etc), is carried to and autopsied in an approved morgue, dies from the initial bullet, bomb or missle*, has gone through arbitration and investigation by our military ...

According to Newsweek in mid 2004, the maximum our military pays for accidental destruction and death is 2000.00 for destroying a home.

*we do not pay for death due to secondary infection, like when a person does not die from a wound right away but infection sets in.

So the 15K is a huge PAYOUT compared to what the military pays--and to think we do all this to these people just so we can control the oil.

Tell us again: "HOW DID OUR OIL GET UNDER THEIR SAND?

There have been set amounts paid to civilians when an innocent relative has been killed, something like $12,000 - 15,000 per death. I don''t see the harm in Iraq upping the ante. Imagine the millions paid to US citizens if any one of their relatives were killed by cops in a shootout. I know this is America, and "that" is Iraq. But in this case, where private contractors are involved in a sovereign nation, Iraq has every right, and duty to its own citizenry to correct what might be an intolerable situation for THEM. As for Blackwater, I think they''re doing a good job of protecting in a severely dangerous situation. Yeah they make good money. But consider the hazards. As usual the media has a one track mind on things like this, with Blackwater already having been condemned regardless of the facts. Once all the facts are out, it will be to late, as they''ve already been judged now.

This administration is a much worse threat to our freedom and to what it means to be an American then every terrorist organization put together.

100% agreement, Rands.

I see a big resemblance between Bushy-baby and Ahmadamnutjob. Both of them are lightning rods for the rhetoric and hate being dished out by a dissatisfied constituency in their respective countries. Both of them seem to be patsies for the real Powers That Be. These wars and conflicts will only increase the power base of the (Big Brother wannabe''s) ie, Big Business Families such as The Waltons, Kennedys, Rockefellers, Bushs, Dunlops, Nobels, Westinghouses and several hundred others that have been working very hard to create a perfect world for profit making. One that is totally controlled in their favor.

136 million. Sure that''s a fair price, considering the billions America is pouring into that he11 hole to be squandered and kicked back in various "projects". LMAO. Pull EVERYONE out, then we won''t have to be responsible for anymore deaths there. While we''re at it lets figure a price for the 3800 G.I.''s who perished. A trillion oughta do it.

I couldn''t agree more. They are the biggest danger to America since WWII. This administration is a much worse threat to our freedom and to what it means to be an American then every terrorist organization put together.

It is falling apart at the seams, too bad those that started this ill gotten war of choice aren''t also facing the Iraqi courts. When the US population was tricked into this war by the administration and the lying Powell I was against it and branded a traitor. Now most of America wants out of this war of lies by the administration and yet the minority keeps us there. I hope in 2008 we bring that minority even further down the pipe to maybe out the door forever. They are the traitors to the American Constitution.
