."I heard somebody say, Where''s Mandela?'' Well, Mandela''s dead because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas," Bush, who has a reputation for verbal faux pas, said in a press conference in Washington on Thursday."
I thought you might enjoy this quote from Bush. He continues to put his best foot forward. And, yes, I am a racist, I am biased against mediocre leaders who devastate anyone and any country that get in their way, including the United State.

let''s see here...who''s paying the bill for the iraq war?

the poor, redneck bush loving south has no money.

the corporations don''t pay taxes. they just get bush tax cuts!

so that leaves the hardworking blue states.

the bush loving south provides the war and the debt.

oh well, that''s the south for you, folks!

There is no near term victory by any definition.

This war is much older than the Iraq war and may last another 10-20 years "in some form"; i.e., a generation.

If there were nuclear weapons being deployed in Syria by N. Korea that the Israelis bombed...... we are really in for some tough times.

One nuclear weapon detonation and you can kiss your equity investments good bye as the world economy will go into shock worse than 9/11.

Why don''t you tell us what your definition of victory over Islamist Terrorism is instead of flinging accusation around all of the time.

It''''s well past the time for the U.S. Congress to take the gloves off and expand its scope, view and investigation into those companies profiting from oil and war! It''''s time for the U.S. Government to start recovering some of its cost and hit those companies hard with a windfall profits Tax. The companies involved in reaping massive profits from war and oil should be made to pay some of it back to the U.S. Treasury starting with Haliburton. These companies have made so much money the U.S. could probably erase the national debt with income from a windfall profits tax. The matter should be taken into serious consideration and explored with vigor! The U.S. Congress should serve notice that the party''''s over!

Maybe you can get Dianne Fienstein to repay some of the money her husband has made from military sales.
What dollar figure should we have for defeating Islamist Terrorism, give a dollar amount.

j-whitman...You are correct on the NASDAQ thing. I heard it on NPR News last in the last couple of days. 20% to a company out of Dubai? Sounds familiar...

So far the Iraqui war has cost each US taxpayer dollar wise, $643 and change. Not bad for a launch platform for the real war in Iran and Syria.
Have you registered for the draft?

Iraq was and had been for years a contained and controlled situation. Anytime they started up a radar we''d shoot a missile at it, if they exposed a missile launcher, we''d bomb it - few casualties and we basically had global support for policing him like this.

Sadam was neutered and no threat to the region let alone us. He did however, provide the country what we can''t seem to - a stabile place with a mostly usable infrasture and actually fewer civilians getting killed per year.

Sure, he was a nasty guy, but we have "allies" that are nastier and we support them with money and weapons.
