Defense Secretary Will Recommend Bush Veto Plan Requiring More Stateside Time For Troops

Guess Gates wants to keep his job. Listen to him back-pedal. Sheesh.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates does appear to be back-pedaling, more like Moon Walking! But he gets credit for his initial proposal because to me it shows his heart is in the right place. The Decider obviously wasn''t happy with Secretary Gates decision to reduce more troops than he proposed, showing him up! Can''t have that can we?

After standing on the stage, after the debates, I made it very plain, we will not have an all-volunteer army. And yet, this week-we will have an all-volunteer army.

I hear there%u2019s rumors on the Internets that we%u2019re going to have a draft.

It%u2019s in our country%u2019s interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm%u2019s way.

You disarm. Or we will.

My administration has been calling upon all the leaders in the Middle East to do everything they can to stop the violence, to tell the different parties involved that peace will never happen.

I think %u2014 tide turning %u2014 see, as I remember %u2014 I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of %u2014 it%u2019s easy to see a tide turn %u2014 did I say those words?

More "policy" wisdom of Bush. No wonder comedians are fully employed.

"We''re having difficulty trying to keep to my policy of 15 months deployed, 12 months at home, for the active force and a full-year mobilization limit on the Guard and Reserve. We''re having enough trouble trying to make that work, without the strictures of legislation," Gates said.

Yes, we wouldn''t want congress to hamper your plan to overuse and overtax our armed forces, that would truly be a shame! Idiot.

Another thing on pieced together units - military training is standardized for the purpose of piecing together units. I''ve been in many military exercises with "rounded out" units from other units. The Army''s individual and collective training is standardized solely for that purpose.

AMERICA NEEDS A HERO
Who will come forward and expose the reasons we were pushed into this war by Bush?
Who will step up to the plate and tell all Americans what they believe but cannot yet prove?
America needs this.
How could we let Bush and his corrupt administration
walk away freely from what they have done?
American democracy needs to be restored.
We need a hero.

Don''t expect Gates to show compasion for our over-stretched, nearly broken military. He''s another Bush crony. Of course they don''t like Webb''s proposal. It takes power away from Bush. Any limitations on power will be vetoed.

The part about units having to be pieced together is a red herring. Units are always training new soldiers as a matter of routine. Besides, the whole Brigade can rotate back, and after their rest/refit time is completed they can be redeployed.

If the people who now support Bush and this war were at the Continental Congress listening to Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Hancock and the others, they would have voted their loyalty to King George. Dissenters made this country, the Bushies are destroying it.

Dead Americans, disgusted former allies, and massive debt are not signs of freedom, people. I am in Seattle, and the cabbies here are from all parts of the world: Somalia, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and they LAUGH at America''s Visa system. They say you can buy a tourist visa, and no one makes any attempt to check you out or make you leave when your visa expires. My San Diego frien''d Mexican maid sees absolutely no reason to do things by the book. She walks back and forth across the border at will when she wants to visit her family. This president isn''t making you safe, he''s making you broke while the front door is wide open.

"Assuming the conditions prevail in Iraq that allows us to continue the drawdown that the president has talked about, the idea is that we would have a much more limited role in Iraq for some protracted period of time, a stabilizing force, a force that would be a fraction of the size of what we have there now," Gates said.

Welcome to "Korea" part two, Randall regardless of the current candiates (with the congress)who is elected they will continue the troop presence. The "grand old (ph)ollies" has or the "donkeys with sombreo''s and burlap sacks" will continue this war.

Bush can still convince the "religious right" that he is protecting them from terrorism. They are deathly afraid of Islam. The religious right will believe anything that comes from their pulpits because they are so afraid of losing their souls; and Bush knows how to manipulate the pulpit.
Additionally, he has corporate America, particularly corporate oil, controlling and backing him. Unfortunately, many in our Congress are also compromised in the same way. That is the reason we have what we have in Iraq. The American people have been placed between a rock and a hard spot.
The truth has become so apparent concerning Iraq. Even conservatives are now admitting that oil was the primary reason for the invasion. Nevertheless, we will see no change, only continued transparent excuses, unless enough American voters see the need to save American ideals and become more vocal and better communicators. Even Corporate oil will appear to bow to an overwhelming "surge" of discontent among American voters.

The mistake Gates makes is the same one the chimp is making. he thinks it''s up to him to decide how long we''ll be in Iraq. It''s not and it''s not that as*shole in the White House''s decision either. It''s the American people who will decide how long we will continue to throw our troops into a meat-grinder to die in vain and how much money will keep throwing away on the mess. The American people are sick of this quagmire and debacle and this war will end because WE demand it and will punish any politician, even to the point of imprisonment, who tries to get in our way.

While "formidable challenges" remain in Iraq, President Bush said Saturday, the United States will start shifting more troops into support roles - in addition to the troop withdrawals announced earlier in the week.

It is clear who is winning the war and who is in full control of the situation.

One video tape of OSAMA BEEN-FORGOTTEN''''S speech changed BUSH''''s war policy and is now ready to withdraw about 100,000 troops by the end of 2008.

Al-Qaida didn''''t only win the war Militraily but culturally also. Just like Al-Qaida, Americans hate women wearing revealing dresses, hate POP-CULTURE, oppose HOMOSEXUAL''''s right of MARRIAGE, WOMEN''''s right of choosing ABORTION, HOLLY WOOD CULTURE and CELEBRITIES like BRITNEY SPEARS , etc.
