The "foreign fighters" have never been shown by any serious analysis to have been a significant player in Iraq, never numbering more than a few thousand, and "al-Qaeda-in-Iraq" is a Made-in-USA propaganda hoax.

The Iraqi people have every right to defend themselves against the brutal and illegal invasion of their country, against collaborators, and against puppet-officials. If they choose to enlist the help of "foreign fighters" and neighboring countries, that is their right, and their choice.
