Many Southerners are GOP, but many are not. You betray careless thinking to group all Southerners together.

More to the point, if Bush claims to be a Christian, does that make him one? Likewise for Falwell, Robertson, etc.

tuckerndfw,

Re: "Al qaida is either working for the Bush administration or their activities represent the most remarkable convergence of events in history."

"Any time the Bush administration needs a diversion or excuse, up pops al qaida."

"How convenient."

"It seems to me the primary beneficiaries of al qaida''s activities are the Bush crime family and their criminal associates."

"I have yet to determine what al qaida has gained for themselves or anyone else other than the Bush crime family and their criminal associates (aka "war profiteers")."

"The "war on terror" is the biggest fraud in American history. It represents the largest bank (US Treasury) heist in world history."

###

Agreed. The Ghost Busters are the only outfit that stands a chance of "winning" this idiotic "war".

Of course, the Bush regime and the war-pirates have already achieved many of their true objectives.

"Are you at least familar with these words? Or another fairy tale in your confusion. You know, its from our Declaration of Independence. Do you think[sic] --that Creator means God?"
- Posted by finewoven at 04:57 PM : Sep 13, 2007

The Declaration, written by Thomas Jefferson, refers to the God of Deism.

This phrase gives it away, "Nature and Nature''s God" -- the God of Nature and Reason, not the God of Revalation.

That phrase is not found in the King James Bible, where it would have been considered blasphemous.

Also note the use of the word "Providence" - a word used only once, and sarcastically, in the King James Bible.

Providence was one of Plato''s favorite words, though. He was a direct ancestor of the 18th Century Enlightenment that gave birth to the ideas of the American Revolution.

If the Founding Fathers had been following Scripture, they would never have rebelled, as it is explicitly forbidden by Paul:

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." - Romans 13:1

After 911, Bush flew the entire bin Laden family out of the US in a series of closely-guarded charter flights. One FBI official wondered what kind of law enforcement would not-- at the very least-- question family members about bin Laden, his whereabouts and other valuable information.

Such a "free pass" to the bin Laden family underscores the complicity of the entire Saudi monarchy with Bush and oil-driven American MidEast policy.

Republicans hate to hear it, but the bin Ladens bank with the same investment firm holding the Bush account.

Miss jeanine Garofalo warned before Iraq invasion by stating
"If United States sends her troops in the middle of Arabia, United States will be doomed.Name of the person who attacked us on 9/11 is Osama Bin Laden, not Saddam Hussain".

Whatever Miss Garofalo said, has come true. OSAMA BEEN-FORGOTTEN is alive and waiting to see us MILITARILY and FINANCIALLY BANKRUPT in IRAQ, before he attacks us with simultaneous suicide nuclear bombings in the major cities of United States.

Bush is a true Christian who is practising

LOVE THEY ENEMY (How can he kills OSAMA BEEN-FORGOTTEN who is a sworn enemy of United States, when jesus taught him to love his enemy, how can you kill somebody you love?)

BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU (He is blessing ISLAMIC RADICAL "MALIKI" by US TAX DOLLARS and US WEAPONS for the killing of US TROOPS deployed there).

In my city, a profession of nonbelief would doom any political candidate.

And if I were living any farther north, I would be in the Land of the Midnight Sun.

Is California at leastly partly, part of the South ?

"Pete Stark is the first openly nontheistic member of Congress, as announced by the Secular Coalition for America. Stark, who has represented the East Bay since 1973, acknowledged his nontheism in response to an SCA questionnaire sent to public officials in January 2007. In a statement, Stark said he is a "Unitarian who does not believe in a supreme being. I look forward to working with the Secular Coalition to stop the promotion of narrow religious beliefs in science, marriage contracts, the military and the provision of social service."

"in the south a nonbeliever cannot win public office." - seven-pesos

Nor in other parts of the country.

Although the Constitution prohibits religious tests for holding office, "as of a statement in March 2007, Pete Stark is the only known nontheist in Congress."

I''m confident the surge isn''t working.

I was confident that Saddam wasn''t a threat to the U.S.

I was confident that we weren''t facing deadenders.

I was confident that the deaths of Uday and Quesay weren''t turning points.

I was confident that Saddam''s capture wasn''t a turning point.

When we had to recapture Fallujah, I was confident that we hadn''t broken the back of the insurgency.

I was confident that the Iraqi voting wasn''t a positive watershed event.

Over two years ago, I was confident that the insurgency wasn''t in it''s last throes.

I was confident that Zarqawi''s death would have little effect on the insurgency.

Only a fool would look at the Cons track record on this Iraq quagmire and continue to pay any heed to their predictions or advice.
The liberals were right about how Iraq would turn out. The Cons were wrong and continue to be wrong.

In modern times you can conduct "war" entirely from the air.

The most terrifying form of war now is global thermonuclear war, conducted entirely from the air.

Besides, Clinton NEVER said anything about "going to war" with Iraq.

By the way, my name isn''t Nancy.

I really feel bad about that.

"B" and "N" are side-by-side on my keyboard, and I was typing quickly and entered the word "Nut" where I truly meant "But."

I respect the intellect and earnestness of Doctor Petraeus (he holds a doctorate from Princeton University, which really shows his brainpower).

I was NOT calling him a Nut.

State business was to to regulate the laws we live under. Religion HAS NO PLACE THERE.
