Thanks clestes and I enjoy your posts as well and they come across to me as a concerned citizen who only wants this country to get better I am sorry we get criticized for that and they are so blinded by the propaganda show that goes on every day.Why would anyone who loves this country do so much damage to it. Some days I wonder is this is MY COUNTRY and I am not fooling.

clestes,

Re: "You need some depression medicine. Your outlook is way to bleak."

Actually, I remain optimistic overall. People that are not upset about our present situation are the ones that are ill, in my opinion.

Re: "Why are you down on the Congress?"

The Patriot Act, to the Military Commissions Act, to illegally spying on Americans, to their relinquishment of their Constitutional duty to decide matters of war to an illegitimate and mass-murderous pirate, for starters, all of which enjoyed broad support from the Democrats, all of which are a major disgrace.

Re: "The dems have the narrowest of margins. 51 to 49. The do not have the numbers to force through bills that are opposed by reps."

That is not relevant. They can stop forwarding any bill that contains additional funding for the illegal war, and this is their obligation.

They can also assert their authority to declare war away from the Chimp, and they can begin impeachment hearings immediately. This is also their obligation, and the lack of 60 votes is no excuse. If they begin to expose the many serious crimes of the cabal, I dare anyone to vote against a conviction. I double dare them. At the very least, exposing these crimes before the public would help to deter politicians from similar conduct in the future.

The Democrats are complicit, opportunistic, reactionary, and servile, and this I why these measures have not been implemented, in my opinion.

don''''t waste your time. If the melting ice, cat 5 hurricanes, worldwide droughts, bizarre weather patterns have not convinced doubters, nothing will. Some people simply cannot face facts when those facts say they have been supid.

We have been stupid and it shows.

If it''s man, I''ll bet it was just a few stupid ones. Like the ozone hole. They did that blowing off a huge a-bomb in the atmosphere. Trying to escape from the jar maybe? You don''t think little spray cans and sealed condenser units did it? So, it could be possible, global warming could be a seriously stupid attempt at weather control. Maybe Homer Simpson spilled Pepsi on the control panel of the HARP antenna array?

I don''t know how Global Warming becam such a hot topic on this blog, but I''ll chime in.

Now...for all of you who think there is no such thing as man contributed global warming, I ask this...How could we not have contributed? Do you have any idea how carbon dioxide reacts in the atmosphere? Do you have any idea how high the CO2 emmissions level has risen since the industrial revolution? That''s not even to mention the other green house gases we''re pumpking up into the atmosphere, like methane perhaps. You can joke about it all you want, but 50 million farting cows is no laughing matter.

So, honestly. When looking back at the past reiods of cyclical climate in the geological record, we have never seen anything like what we''re seeing now. I hear lots of people touting claims like, "new study show 2/3rds of scientists think man made global warming is a sham!" I have only this to add...that is totally rediculous and untrue. I agree its silly to put some sort of catastrophic spin on it...it will never mean the end of human civilization, but problems will arise and species (though not humans)will not have time to adapt.
basically, it is silly, whether you''re a scientist or not, to think that man has contributed nothing to the current trend in climate...though its aso silly to cry the "sky is falling." Both sides need to get a grip, but at least one of those sides is not in denial...only delusion and that''s easier to correct.

ummmm whose land is it haji???

the war that fascist nazi terrorislamic muslims started rages on 1400 years later...

The Truth about Islamic Crusades and Imperialism

Historical facts say that Islam has been imperialistic%u2014and would still like to be, if only for religious reasons. Many Muslim clerics, scholars, and activists, for example, would like to impose Islamic law around the world. Historical facts say that Islam, including Muhammad, launched their own Crusades against Christianity long before the European Crusades.

starleo146,

one of the most frightening articles I read yesterday was from a poll done on European citizens.

40% say that the US has damaged relations past the point of repairing them.

That is scary. Being isolated in today''s global world with China making inroads, replacing the US in those relations, is not a good thing.

So yes, I would say repairing relations with our allies is primary.

clestes,

Re: "I am going out on a limb here but not only do I predict that the dems will take the whitehouse, I think the dems will pick up enough senate seats to 60 maybe more."

I am very disappointed with the Democrats, and don''t see them as much of an "opposition" Party. Many top Democrats are complicit in many of the worst offenses of the Bush regime.

From the Patriot Act, to the Military Commissions Act, to illegally spying on Americans, to their relinquishment of their Constitutional duty to decide matters of war to an illegitimate and mass-murderous pirate...I am pretty disgusted with the national level Democrats, with few exceptions. With opposition like this, who needs fascists?

Re: "I think the American people will revolt at the polls and the numbers could be higher."

I hope so, if they (we) are allowed to vote, and if our votes will be counted, but I don''t see the result as moving us in a significantly different direction. Most top-level Democrats are in the pocket of AIPAC and of the same corporations that own the Republicans.

One good thing about Gore surrendering his victory in 2000, is that Lieberman is not next in line. Thank Horus for that!

Heylars008 It''s Rosh Hashanah, don''t you have the day off?

Actually it''s the Celebration of Creation. When God got the universe up and running. Like the sun''s engine, balancing and cycling on pressure and gravity. Well... until you Babylonians and Saxxons showed up anyway. And that was kinda of the Persians fault the second time, wasn''t it? First the Egyptians, then the Persians, then the United States.

I guess we''ve been completely left out while you and the Palestinians fight over our land. Oh, well. Land is land and there are only 3 of us anyway and I''m still looking for the other 2. I just put the cup out for Ben Franklin over here and say sure, he discovered it first. It may have been the first microwave oven too. We also invented all religions, stop signs, caution signs, street lights... and no credit at all. The reward is seeing them survive an intersection without killing themselves.

FeelFree,

there will be plenty of votes next year. I am going out on a limb here but not only do I predict that the dems will take the whitehouse, I think the dems will pick up enough senate seats to 60 maybe more.

They will have additional gains in the house.

I am predicting this today with no Iran war. If there is one, I think the American people will revolt at the polls and the numbers could be higher.

You didn''t ask me but I hope you are right I do believe people are fed up with PROPAGANDA over and over but who ever gets in will have a mess to clean up, first we got to get the rest of the world to think America is a good country do you agree?

All this quibbling over the Congress today is really missing the point.

The real point about this Congress is that the reps LOST EVERY SEAT they had open. that is the fact that speaks volumes to me.

either of you is getting my point. Bush will attack with no support at all from the American people. What we think does not matter to him at all. He has very little time left in office and is gambling BIG TIME on rescuing his legacy.

BUT in the coming elections Americans will made their voices and unhappiness heard. They did in 2006 and they will again in 2008

clestes,

Re: "Bush will attack with no support at all from the American people. What we think does not matter to him at all."

Agreed. He does what he is told to do by his handlers.

Re: "BUT in the coming elections Americans will made their voices and unhappiness heard. They did in 2006 and they will again in 2008"

And they (we) did in 2000 and 2004, but like the subsequent election, it did not make much difference.
