Top U.S. Commander And Ambassador Warn Congress Against Major Shift Away From Current Strategy
- The fact is, Arabs (Sunnis) and Persians (Shiites) are wild, violent animals who do not have the cognitive ability to understand and support the principles of democratic government. They are destined to butcher each other. Too bad.

You fascist are unbelievable!! After all the screw up''s, after all the evidence of Incompetence, after all we now know, you just keep up with the same tired old garbage we have heard from you for decades now. Look IF we do NOT listen to you loser''s, IF we listen to the American''s you hate so much, Liberals, and IF we allow our Allies and Friends the courtesy of giving the UN Inspectors time to do the job they were sent to do, NONE and I repeat NONE of this death and distruction takes place!! Please do NOT come on here and act Superior to other people, calling them bloodthirsty and the such, when YOU have this background. It''s just plain STUPID!! Sieg Heil Bush - Reply to this comment
I think that I get it now.
The Iraqis are not upset with us because we have illegally invaded their country based on lies, humiliated, imprisoned, tortured, raped, soddomized, and/or maimed milions of them, displaced millions more, destroyed their country''s infrastucture, installed puppet rulers, and have moved to plunder their natural wealth, and foment a civil war there.
No. They are upset, not from these things, but because they are Muslims, and therefore are not "civilized" like we are. Is that right?
If they would have stuck to dancing and flower-throwing, all would be keen?- Reply to this comment

- During our Revolutionary War, General Cornwallis gave the same presentation to King George; during the Vietnam War, General Westmoreland did the same. We know how both turned out.
I have a very real problem in spending billions and American lives for a people who burn our flag, openly say it is ok to kill Americans and over 70% have voted to have us leave.
On Andar Province - I will believe it is safe when Americans (even soldiers) can walk its streets individually and shop in its markets.
While we cannot lose militarily, we can also not win. The people are againist us, the Muslim world is againist us and we cannot even go on vacation in most Muslim countries.
There is a very real war on terror but we have been fighting it in a very wrong way. - Reply to this comment
Who is the real failure here? The unelected Bush regime and their accomplices, murdering hundreds and thousands of civilians with their fraud-based illegal war of aggression?
Is it the war pigs that are the failures here? Routing our economy, disgracing and decimating our military, burning our Constitution, kidnapping and torturing people on a whim, and all the time stuffing the pockets of their cronies with the stolen treasure of their victims, always in the name of "democracy" and "freedom"?
Who is the real failure here? The Bush regime and the accomplices, or We the People who allow this to continue?- Reply to this comment

- I believe Gen. Petraeus wrote this himself. Were there outside influences trying to have input? Of course, how much who knows, but at the end of the day Gen. Petraeus''s name and signature goes on this Report and no one else''s, history will only see his name and judge him alone and I''m sure this was considered when the Report was submitted. No one really questions or challenges the military aspects of the U.S. effort in Iraq in the context of success or failure, the U.S. is holding its own. Because there is also a Political aspect and the military and political aspects must both be considered together and not separately, many feel the surge is a failure, since the point of the surge in the first place was to give some breathing room for political reconciliation which has not occurred, also the Iraqi military has not stood up as expected so the U.S. can stand down. If the purpose of the surge and all the aspects are considered as a package then there is no way the surge can be considered a success, helpful, but no success. The missing argument in all of this is the cost, in both U.S. lives and treasure and the million dollar questions are, is it worth it and who pays? Pres. Bush said Iraqi Oil will pay for this war and it has not! The U.S. should not eat the cost of this effort alone, U.S. Taxpayers should not have to pay for this war alone! It''s time to talk about who pays, why is that not being discussed?

- yeah, and those that stood and didn''t want to enter world war 2 against the nazis were the republicans. And those that said that Clinton was wagging the dog when he was attacking Bin Laden and company were also republicans. Those that exchanged hostages for weapons in Iran, were also called republicans. Those that turn tail and ran in the 80''s when the terrorists attacked our troops in Beirut and killed over 200 marines were also called republicans. Vietnam was also lost under a republican president. Those that supported that war, ted nuggent, bush, cheney , rumsfeld never served in combat, some of them even crapped theirr pants like a good old coward in order to avoid serving their country (Ted Nuggent). Others hid under the desk (bush) and others got married and enrolled in college in order to coward away (cheney).

- And those who gave us the Killing Fields and the Ayatollahs were the Democratic Congress who chose to abandon the Vietnamese, Laotians and Cambodians - the latter that fought to the bitter end and were slaughtered while McGovern and Kerry toasted their demise with champagne.
Not to mention the Carter Administrations refusal to help the Shah even though that gutless peanut bigot knew d()arn well that the Ayatollah was no saint...except his his fertile mind and that of Andrew Dummy Young. Instead of supporting the Shah, the pissant Carter cut the rug from under him. If we''re ever nuked by Ahmedinejedad, you can thank weeee Jimmeeee. But hey, you Left Nazis gotta love his embracing Hamas, don''t you.
And lest we forget the Draft Dodger Pervert, his shrew, and his pet pig NotBright circumventing the War Powers Act to bomb Belgrade...all the time doing practically nothing about Bin Laden.

- waynabq aka Islamonazi buddy is the liar here, as well as any of the Blame America, MoveOn.Org Nazi bozos who call Petraeus a liar.
He provided facts and analysis, and proved the current strategy was working. Only those who gave us the Killing Fields, The Re-Education Camps, the Ayatollah, the Sandinistas, the rise of Islamohitlerism, and the Bombing of Belgrade, not to mention the original failures to go after Bin Laden because pervert Bill was more interested in the ladies, would say otherwise.
The shrill hate-filled rhetoric proves my point well, as well as the usual Hitlerian behavior of those who call themselves Liberals - the hairy-arm pitted women from ANSWER and Code Pink, Hillary''s lovers, revealed their true colors. All of them should be shipped to Saudi Arabia and given a reality check.
But do continue to spew your hate, your lies, and yes, your loathing of an America that will defend freedom and protect us, despite anything the traitor democrats or the Nazis of MoveOn. toss our way.
We have a strategy that works and we are winning. You don''t like it - move out and in with Bin Laden. And take your bloody ILLEGALS with you - that''s the speed of the Reid-Pelosi-Clitons-Boy Obama Dems. - Reply to this comment
- "The extent of any improvement in Iraq has been a matter of debate. The Government Accountability Office, a congressional agency, recently reported that Iraq has partially achieved only four of 18 political and military goals."
4 out of 18 works out to 22 percent. Only in Bush and his followers warped universe would 22 percent be considered a rip-roaring success. I''ll wager Petraeus is a liar when he stated
"I wrote this testimony myself. It has not been cleared by nor shared with anyone in the Pentagon, the White House or the Congress."
The bullSh*t alarm is deafening. Only a half-wit would believe that bullsh*t. Bush and Petraeus didn''t get to where they are today by being honest and forthright. - Reply to this comment
- The Pat Tillman incident and the Jessica Lynch story both lies. Bush and Petraeus are both beyond disgusting and horrible. Slime mold deserve more respect.

I think the number is endless....the stupidity, incompetence and arrogance of Bush and his supporters knows no bounds.
Bottom line Petraeus is a four-star Bush Crony and is as power hungry and as much a rat-b@stard as his crazed Chimp boss. Human lives mean absolutely nothing to these people.
