- The media has done a typically slipshod job of covering the terms of the Iraqi oil revenue scheme that many US leaders claim as a key benchmark for the Iraqi government.
That plan is basically a repeat of the plan the UK established around 1908 to give control of Iranian oil revenues to the UK via BP and to other western countries (which not suprisingly have been part of the "coalition" in Iraq) through their various oil companies. It was a move by Iran''''s elected government to take control of their own oil revenues which led to the CIA/UK sponsored overthrow of their elected government in the 1950s putting the Shah in power. So much for our record of supporting democracy.
Anyway, the members of the Iraqi parlament claim the US oil sharing plan will give US and other interests (the same as in Iran) about a 50% or greater cut of the revenue. Only the CIA and friends will know for sure - if even they will know.
So they are reluctant to support it. They could agree if it wasn''t for us.
We are the problem tribe in this situation. - Reply to this comment
- If the majority of Americans would get off their *** and tell their representatives to either bring legislation to hold Bush and his cronies accountable for the atrocities they lied about so Big Corp. can plunder and pillage this country and Iraq for $$$ - this would send a wave through this country. Look how Republicans are now drawing connections with Reagan? Isn''t is pitiful. Look at Reagan''s record - a lot of voters have no clue about his ploitics or performance. Notice that NO Republican candidate aligns with Bush? Isn''t is sad that this loser will make billions of $$$ and retire with all of his cronies writing books, doing seminars/talk shows etc. discussing their plight. These crooks should be handles like OJ Simpson - every $$ they pull in should be absconded and passed off to the poor soldiers that have lost their limbs.

- Why would any free thinking person want your Utopian dream state? When you cut through all of the innocent labels like "Liberal, Secular Progressive, Progressive, Democrat" you are left with the core of truth which leaves "Communist" as the only label left and we all know how all Communist/Socialist systems have failed and always will fail.

You know you pathetic nazi''s have been throwing this garbage around now for over 30 years. During that time our Health Care System has gone from the best in the world to the Worse, we have watched people who worked all their lives have their pension and health care stripped away, we have watched honest hard working American Jobs shipped to Third World countries for nothing but GREED and we have watched as our standard of living has gone from First in the entire World to DEAD LAST amoung Industrialized Nations. I''ll tell you what you can do with your FASCIST Garbage and you''re attempt to paint anyone who doesn''t agree with it as a Socialist... you can shove it where the sun don''t shine. Sieg Heil Bush!! - Reply to this comment
- You should really check out who did the surveying for the first trans-continental railroad and what city on the east coast would have been the likely terminal for shipments headed from China to England...

What does ANY of this have to do with the Fascism that came out of the south or the EVIL that has been part of it for so long? IF you''d ever had to face off against a Slobber Slinging Southern Baptist H-E-L-L bent on lynching a man for no other reason than the color of his skin or actually seen a Klan Rally and all the hatred this is part of that area of the country, you could comment. You obviously haven''t and obviously don''t care! Sieg Heil Y''all. - Reply to this comment

Oh that''s right - there are saudies there - only their aiding their fellow tribesman fight off the invaders/occupiers. (BTW - you are aware that we the US/UK are the invaders/occupiers - aren''t ya?). - Reply to this comment
- Bush has the audacity to complain about how a foreign country should be governed when he is fully responsible for its destructions. The US under Bush is governed by a band of bandits, rogues, and rascals without any moral authority or credibility to tell another sovereign country how to govern. It is laughable when the US'' own house is in disarray captained by an ignorant and incompetent man of monumental proportions. Stop interfering in the affairs of others! Are American lives that cheap that they can be systematically sacrificed for benefit of corporations? The way things happen and are continuing happening without restrain tells us that American lives have little or no value! As Bush said to the insurgents "Bring ''em on" because we have more lives to sacrifice.

- Psycho Georgie needlessly destroyed Iraqi civilian infrastructure with his "shock and awe" war criminal tactics. Now HE has the nerve to blame the Iraqi govt. for instability that HE created. Try and govern without water, electricity, fuel and food.
