I do hope that members of the Hubbard family don''t read this board. I suggest you all post your arguments somewhere else.

===you posters who use this story to escalate your anti bush agenda are the lowest forms of life.save your venom for the next election.Shame on you.A family lost 2 sons and my condolences and sympathy go to them.===

Condolences don''t mean c r a p to all the thousands of potential victims of this war who will be dying in the coming days. This is the EXACT place for Bush bashing. If we don''t stop this maniac and his sychophant supporters with all the pressure possible, it will only mean more condolences for more families in the future. Bush must not be given a free pass. He is responsible for these deaths every bit as much as the terrorists. Bush has hidden behind the troops for too long now, as a shield from criticism. The more soldiers die, the more Bush needs to be hit on it. This is the only way it will stop.

mort4u - Bush fed Congress and Senate false information, disinformation and mis-information.

Where they wrong to trust him? Absolutely - some of knew already he was a lying thieving slimey thug before that.

Stop blaming Congress because Bush lied them, and because Bush failed in Iraq - he planned it, ordered it, implemented it and demanded it. So he gets the blame.

To the Bush-bashers and anti-troop crowd:

You are losing your war against America.

Even your liberal Democrat leaders are changing their positions on the war.

Hillary Clinton says that the surge tactics are "working" - it%u2019s just a matter of days before more Democrats subtly, yet rapidly, change their position on progress of the surge.

Democrats already know that the Petraeus Report in September will without a doubt show all the real accomplishments that the liberal media has been hiding from the public. And, unlike the liberal press who simply spin news, or lie by omission of fact, Petraeus will have solid, unambiguous proof of the real progress on the ground, and of how the surge has made reconciliation in Iraq possible.

What I expect will happen after the report will be a groundswell of anger of Americans Democrats, Republicans and Independents - against the liberal media and the anti-troop liberal activists for hiding and distorting the truth.

And your whining and seething will stop none of it - you%u2019ll just be a casualty of the crossfire, and the surge will simply continue until complete success in Iraq is achieved.

Nobody, especially me, is expecting you to change your position on the war; however, don''t think about blaming anyone but yourselves when you suddenly and permanently become the pariahs of society...it%u2019s a label you will have earned many time over, and will stick with you for a lifetime, and will be the embarrassment of you children.

michaelh2001: One more time. Saddam had children thrown out of Helicopters. Saddam had people torn apart by dogs. Saddam had olypic athletes tortured for loosing. Saddam''s son raped a women on her wedding night then trew of the hotels balcony. Plus he ran the olympic torture house. Saddam had WMDs. How do I know? Because we gave them to him. I don''t think any of that was fabricated. Unless the Clintons and the Bushes are working together.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of this tragedy. May you find peace again someday soon. I have a brother-in-law over in Iraq for the 2nd time since this war. I hope he makes it back to my sister and nephew safe and sound.

This kind of tragedy can happen in any war, but it''s particularly terrible since this was a elective war.

It''s hard to believe anything this administration says when they have lied so much. Even when they get something right it murky by association.

smb221 & jankebenz

We can have sympathy for the family that lost 2 sons in the war in Iraq, and at the same time blame the commander and chief who sent them there under false pretenses, with no plan on what to do after toppling the goverment of Saddam Hussein!

I don''t have anything to be ashamed of! Why should I be ashamed of exercising my freedom, the very freedom our soldiers a supposedly fighting and dieing for!! The only thing I''m ashamed of, bedsides the idiot in the White House, is fellow Americans who don''t seem to have any concept that we wouldn''t have these grieving families, if G.W. Bush didn''t send them in harms way based on damned lies!

Its simply amazes me that there are still people out there who defend Bush and this war, even after all the reasons given for it were fabricated.

I completely agree!

Yeah, sorry for the extra posting there. Was responding to someone saying I was a Bush/Cheney supporter. This SHOULD be about giving our condolences. I have a friend who is on her way to Iraq and that should be in my thoughts, not all this politically-motivated ***.

Sadly, I have yet to see a story on CBS News get posted where someone in the blog didn''t make at least one politically-motivated entry. Hell, even the article on the cat in the nursing home that would cuddle up to terminally ill patients became political.

Thank you drinuk for the complement.

Smart? yes.

but like most of your posts you are wrong on everything else.

A fish? no

Coffee drinker? no

you needn''t add another post under your moniker of drinuk. Use one of your others (that is what I tried to tell you before but it obviously went right over your tiny head) I understand that nyckate is having some difficulties getting her facts straight so you can use hers for awhile.

sorry kate but when you attack others for being one dimensional then you understand why you open yourself up to the likes of drinuk, ekucrew, mrhoppy being your allies.

Yes deary I may be a fool afte all why should I want to grow up if that means being a mature, loving, intelligent adult like you.

Well gotta go make money some more evil American dollars and pay those liberal taxes to support you guys. Don''t watch too much TV and remember to flush to toilet when you guys are done here.

The facts have never matter much to Bush or his supporters - I guess we shouldn''''t expect you to change in that regards.
Posted by nyckate at 11:09 AM : Aug 23, 2007

Um, at what point did you assume I was a Bush supporter? Was it when I said "I blame Bush for that" (not supporting our troops) or when I said "Ann Coulter and Al Franken can go to hell for all I care." I never said Bush didn''t lie, I just said either he lied or got bad intel. The CIA is definitely a defective organization, and has been for many years now. But nobody can dispute the fact that the UN did have a resolution in place to use military action should Hussein not let back in UN inspectors. Hussein also ignored warnings. Basically he bluffed and tried to backtrack when his bluff was called.

For the record, I voted for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. And unless a Republican comes up with a winning plan, it''ll be either Clinton or Obama in ''08 for me. But unlike a lot of people, I don''t whine and complain about the results of those two elections. Gore couldn''t carry his home state (or Clinton''s) or take advantage of already being in the White House during that election. (Similar to the home team in a football game being given 3.5 in the spread.) Kerry should have fought the election results, but didn''t. I guess he didn''t want to drag the country through the mud again like Gore did in 2000 Understandable, but it might have been the wrong move.

You people are scaring me again!!!
you can take any news article and make it political. YES Bush did take us to war, but with the help of the congress and the senate. This is republicans and democrats, conservative and liberals.
It is very sad that this and many more families have to go thru this very sad time, and I would like to say to all families that have anyone serving,THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO.
Now after saying that,, Why dont we get the cameras and reporters out of the way and let the military do its job... If the crying hart liberals would shut up and realize that this is not a pretty job, it is war, we do need to leave as soon as possible, but not because we want to quit, but because the enemy has surrendered.
remember W.W.2 we won because we killed them faster than they could kill us. no cameras or reporters in the way critizing every move that was made. LET THEM DO THE JOB, WIN, AND COME HOME!!!!

haneyr - you''re a fool.

When the middle class America joined the anti-war demonstrations is when the president and congress knew they had had enough.

ENough lies, enough false reports, enough revisionist storytelling, enough using their sons as cannon fodder.

Jane Fonda didn''t end the war - Mr. and Mrs. Smith from Suburbia America did.

Now isn''t it past time for you to grow the eff up once and for all????? Bush has an excuse for having the emotional maturity of a 13 year old - its an unfortunate affect of being a life-long alcholic - what''s your excuse.

themurph2000 - it is patently clear that the so-called intelligence was pulled together to prove what they wanted to be proved - even Powell spent 2 days at Pentagon pulling apart Feith''s reports because they were so patently rigged that he couldn''t show his face and repeat them to UN.

Most of the information in the reports was 12 years old.

Now you may wish to believe that Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowtiz and Perlman didn''t recognize reports they had last seen when they previously worked in teh white house - I don''t. Or maybe all of them are seriously ill with altzheimers adn that''s why they didn''t recognize the same material?? Hmmmm - maybe we can institutionalize the entire Bush Administration on grounds of lack of mental capacity!!

The facts have never matter much to Bush or his supporters - I guess we shouldn''t expect you to change in that regards.
