- "U.S. foreign policy experts oppose Bush''s surge"
"The survey of 108 experts, including Republicans and Democrats, showed opposition to the so-called "surge" across the political spectrum, with about two-thirds of ***conservatives*** saying it has been ineffective or made things worse in Iraq." - Reply to this comment
- "U.S. foreign policy experts oppose Bush''s surge"
[But how dare they contradict a political figure in Washington ?]
August 20, 2007
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than half of top U.S. foreign policy experts oppose President George W. Bush''s troop increase as a strategy for stabilizing Baghdad, saying the plan has harmed U.S. national security, according to a new survey.
[So which way did Lars008 vote ?]
As Congress and the White House await the September release of a key progress report on Iraq, 53 percent of the experts polled by Foreign Policy magazine and the Center for American Progress said they now oppose Bush''s troop build-up.
That is a 22 percentage point jump [negative surge ?] since the strategy was announced early this year."

- Just watched a rerun of Chris Matthews'' show on TV. The panel was making merry about a Barack Obama "photo op" in New Hampshire, where Obama was in a general store and didn''t appear to know what some obscure item was.
Someone joked, "Maybe he didn''t want to appear too smart. Can you be too smart to be elected president ?"
Matthews replied, "I think we''ve had some experience in that area recently. Lets go for ''smart'' this time." - Reply to this comment

- Things are bad as an American when you wake up sometimes and wonder if you accidentally moved to a Foreign Country, it''s bad when sometimes you don''t even recognize your own nation anymore, it''s bad when you''re in perfect health but think you have Altzhemiers because it''s been so long that you forgot what America use to be like! One can only hope this will pass, that''s it''s not permanent.

Well said, you actually sent shivers up and down my spine. It is unfortunate that to many people in the world do not consider the children or the familys of those that are subjected to violence. - Reply to this comment
- Hey, they are only Muslim kids, right?
Do you for a minute think that their parents, their siblings, their uncles and aunts, feel any less sad than Americans do for theirs.
Of course not, those children, and all the children in the world, should be playing with toys, little cars, dolls, and live with hope and minds free of worry.
What has mankind foisted on the children of the world?
I am an old goat and I will leave this world in a lot worse shape than when I arrived.

It''s the Middle East.
All they care about is, "Is it effective ? Does it work ?"
Mossad, Israel''s mighty intelligence agency, specializes in the surreptitious use of poison to eliminate enemies.
"In 1997, two Mossad agents were caught in Jordan, which had signed a peace treaty with Israel, on a mission to assassinate Sheikh Khaled Mashal, a leader of Hamas, by injecting him with poison at a pro-Hamas rally in Amman. Again, they were using fake Canadian passports. This led to a diplomatic row with Canada and Jordan, and Israel was forced to provide the poison antidote and release around 70 Palestinian prisoners, in particular the Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, in exchange for the Mossad agents, who would otherwise have faced the death penalty for attempted murder."

Red has gone off on a Lars rampage which he is unaware of, thinks he is educating people to the government being involved in 9-11 planning and implementation. - Reply to this comment
