Comments on: 3 More GI Deaths Reported In Iraq
Blast Kills At Least 13; Gates: We Underestimated Iraqis' Mistrust Of Each Other
- the immoral bush war in iraq continues to claim new, innocent victims everyday, both American and Iraqi -
pumping new arms into the region will only assure new conflicts, more death, more destruction.
i'm ashamed to be an American, and i sincerely hate my "president" for feeling like that. - Reply to this comment

Never, ever, confuse me with a rightie. I'm the last person on earth that can be considered a rightie. It just so happens that I don't care about Iraq, or Iraqi's one way or the other. They preach death and destruction, because they like death and destruction. I only care about Americans and the needless loss of their lives. - Reply to this comment
- 'rose, then why are you slamming civil liberties? Without them, there IS no USA. I'll never understand why fighting for constitutional rights offends you neocons. You're entirely against our rights, and the level playing field they provide. You've bought into special interest's scams...

IF YOUR WONDERFUL CONGRESS INTENDS TO PULL THE TROOPS OUT OF THE REGION, IRAN IS GOING TO HAVE A FIELD DAY WITH THE MIDDLE EAST ALONG WITH HERZBOLLAH, AL-QAEDA, ET. AL. SO PP, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, THE MIDDLE EAST IS GONNA BLOW. HAVE YOU BUILT YOUR BOMB SHELTER YET. MAKE SURE IT'S NUKE PROOF.

- The chickenhawks neo con favorite RNC soundbite:
Yeah, tell it to the 3,000 that died in New York, Pennsylvania, and D.C. They were all killed by that alligator named civil liberties.

The very same ........incompetent frightened blowhards blinded by their own delusional defense of their inadequacies who are wrong, always..... - Reply to this comment

- Soldiers! Come Home! The enemy is in Washington.
If you sign up for military service now, it only serves the Regime and the economic interests behind it--NOT the United States of America...NOT the State in which your Guard unit is located...NOT the citizens of the United States...you might as well sign up with Blackwater...if you are going to be a prostitute, you might as well earn top dollar. - Reply to this comment

- When i was last in D.C., the viet nam war memorial was new, and one of the few places i wanted to go to. I looked for someone's name that had lived a few miles from me. It was utter stillness with wisps of occasional sobs from someone. I didn't look to see who it was. I just looked at the names, all those names and the small gifts wishing under them. I try not to think about what it was all for.
Rounding off the peaks and valleys, www.icasualties.org shows a steady increase in new names, about 3500 since 'mission accomplished', just not worth it. I see my sons name. His sister and I miss him.
Support the troops by bringing them home.

- That does not justify surrendering the US Constitution. (our "civil liberties")
Given your demonstrated cowardice, perhaps you would be more comfortable living in a maximum security prison. They will make sure you are kept very secure.

Why don't you, since you brought the topic up dazzy girl. Seems like your driveling at the thought of it. I won't stand in your way. Although her girlie friend might not like you encroaching on her civil liberties. As for me, I like women, not egocentric narcissists whether they are male or female who can't figure out how to use their g/enitals appropriately. Is everything spelled out correctly for you now, dear? - Reply to this comment
- "The President took great pains to correct what you say was going outside the rule of law *** you so diligently adhere to in a convenient way"
Great pains!?! He ignored the existing law and went completely around it! The existing law works just fine - so why didn't he use it? Does he really believe a federal magistrate was going to tell bin Laden what our FISA was about and how it worked? No - he wanted to use it to spy on his domestic enemies as well. That's why he circumvented the court.
"To ease fears, Bush voluntarily agreed to conduct the effort under the aegis of a national securty court set up under Fisa but the compromise backfired because of advances in technology."
The existing law, as it's written, provides for the president the ability to monitor "all forms of communications". Technology has nothing to do with it - whether it's a land line, a cell phone, morse code, e-mail, fax, or snail mail - he has the ability to monitor that communication.
Your problem is you only listen to what Bush, Cheney, or Gonzalez says. You never listen to or read the entire story. Take your blinders off and get some actual information for a change. - Reply to this comment
- Only a coward would surrender his civil liberties based on a virtually non-existent threat. The average American is at greater risk of being killed by an alligator than a "terrorist."

Since when do Republicans care about civil liberties?
Oh, and by the way, are you by any chance a l*sbian?
I couldn't help but notice you're spelling of "libertities".

That is absolutely correct.
The US Constitution is "America." Without the US Constitution, the US will cease to exist (as we know it).
The US Constitution ("our civil liberties") is worth more than the combined populations of NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and all other American cities.
We can reproduce more people, but once we surrender our "civil liberties," the only way to regain them is by using force.
"Live free or die" is far more than a bumper sticker slogan, it is the foundation of the US.
Only a coward would surrender his civil liberties based on a virtually non-existent threat. The average American is at greater risk of being killed by an alligator than a "terrorist." - Reply to this comment
- The claims by the Democratic lawmakers weren't that Bush is spying on Americans. The claims are that Bush went outside the rule of law to implement his own brand of domestic spying, ignoring the laws that were already in place regarding the practice.
At least get your facts straight before you post your lies.

I'm not going to go into this with you because you seem to know it all. The President took great pains to correct what you say was going outside the rule of law *** you so diligently adhere to in a convenient way, when it is a President's perrogative to do all he can to defend the country in time of war especially when he does have the authorization of Congress to do so. To ease fears, Bush voluntarily agreed to conduct the effort under the aegis of a national securty court set up under Fisa but the compromise backfired becaue of advances in technology. FISA needs an overhaul. You twit. - Reply to this comment
