Comments on: 5 Americans Killed; Baghdad Hit By Bomb
3 Marines, Sailor, Soldier Die In Fighting; At Least 21 People Die In Shiite Market Blast
- Here's one prophet who SHOULD be without honor in his own country (and is without it):
"And men and women across the Middle East, looking to Iraq, are getting a glimpse of what life in a free country can be like." - George W. Bush, March 22, 2004
July 26, 2007: "Baghdad residents swept up debris from bloodstained pavement a day after two suicide bombings killed at least 50 cheering, dancing, flag-waving fans celebrating Iraq's national soccer team's semifinal victory in the Asian Cup tournament. The attacks bore the hallmarks of Sunni militants who have fueled the violence in Iraq for nearly four years. The bombings, in parked cars less than an hour apart in separate corners of Baghdad, appeared designed to gain attention rather than target a particular sect." - Reply to this comment

- For all you people that think US troops dying in Iraq is about US FREEDOM, you are stupid.
How many more Bush lies are you going to swallow??
Better still, how can you even see that lying, pansy, war dodging, mama's boy, beer swilling alcoholic, whose wife has LEFT HIM because she can't take his BS anymore either (she lives in the Hilton Hotel, for Christ sake!) as someone to ADMIRE and SUPPORT.
Bush LIED, LIED, LIED us into invading Iraq.
HAVE YOU PEA BRAINS FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE NON-EXISTANT WMD????
Don't you understand that the REAL DANGER to America IS NOT AL-QUIDA IN IRAQ????
It is the growing strength of China and India. Countries that are taking OUR PLACE as world leader AND WE ARE LETTING THEM DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
While we are WASTING OUR TIME AND MONEY CREATING ENEMIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST, they are investing in energy technologies that will MAKE AMERICA THEIR F.U.C.K.I.N.G SLAVE in 15 years!!!!!!!!!
You know, when the Democrats take over the whitehouse AND Congress next year, you stupid gits will have no one but yourselfs to blame.
Of course, being stupid gits, you will find someone else to blame...... - Reply to this comment

Re: "The three U.S. Marines and a sailor died Tuesday..."
We have sailors dying in the middle of a dessert.
How much worse can this get?
Baghdad weather today: mostly bloody, disgraceful and pointless, with temperatures reaching 122 degrees Fahrenheit.- Reply to this comment
- Incidentally that book "Unrestricted Warfare" (by James F. DeRose) documents a shameful episode in American military history.
At the beginning of the war, American torpedoes were defective in design, and the Navy's Admirals, for a long 18 months, engaged in "turf wars" to defend the designs that they had been associated with. They ignored test results and demoted "whistleblowers" who pointed out that the war effort was being frustrated and brave submarine crews were being lost because of these faulty torpedoes. They tried to pin the blame on those crews.
This went on for 18 months - a year and a half.
Remember this when you see George W. Bush get that icy clint in his eye and gravel in his voice, as he intones "The decisions in this war will be made by our military commanders, and not by Washington politicians."
Military commanders are just as prone to folly, false pride and dishonesty as anyone else. - Reply to this comment
- Saddam was lynched by a kangaroo-court, while the Bush regime remains at-large. Who can make sense of this?

Rex Tillerman can.
Or, his predecessor, Lee Raymond.
They are Bush & Cheney's best buddies. They are the CEO and former CEO of ExxonMobil.
Saddam refused to cooperate with ExxonMobil (et al), so they murdered him and stole Iraq's oil fields.
Same thing they intend to do to Hugo Chavez. - Reply to this comment
Re: "(Since) I bled in my 3rd ventricle in my brain..."
That explains a lot about 'peyton163'. Apparently the hemorrhaging continues. How can it be explained that he/she has a ventricle in its brain, other than as a result of a severe case of cranial rectalitis?- Reply to this comment

- According to the best available estimate, published in the Lancet, last October, the mid-range estimate of excess violent deaths as aresult of the fraud-based, illegal war of aggression against Iraq, was around 655,000 Iraqis. Extrapolating from that figure, we can safely estimate that the Bush regime is responsible for the violent deaths of around 1 million Iraqis.
With 2 million more Iraqis inernally displaced, and another 2 million Iraqis forced to flee the country, the illegitimate Bush-puppet has outperformed the misery rate achieved by Saddam Hussein by a longshot.
This does not even take into account tens of thousands of U.S. military casualties, or the countless victims of Bush regime rape-rooms, torture chambers, and secret prisons.
The illegitimate Bush-puppet may be the worst leader that the U.S. has ever seen, by he is clearly a more effective tyrant than Saddam, far better at killing and maiming Americans, and clearly the bigger threat to the U.S.
Saddam was lynched by a kangaroo-court, while the Bush regime remains at-large. Who can make sense of this?

Thanks for the clarification.
You were speaking metaphorically, exaggerating the terrible casualty rate in World War II to "5 dead troops that happened in seconds in WWII and vietnam."
You weren't actually citing a meaningful fact.
I remember another right winger (it might have been singinrick or mudrose ??) who said once that America and Japan had a mutual agreement in WWII for their planes not to shoot each other's paratroopers as they were descending and helpless in the air. When I expressed my astonishment, pointing out that Japan made no use of paratroops in the war, and also the absurdity of the idea that the ruthless Japanese would have come to any such agreement with us, he said I was taking him too literally.
