I'm glad you were able to get that off your chest.

- "I am not going to give you a number for it because it's not my business to do intelligent work."
- Donald Rumsfeld, in an utterance worthy of Dubya himself, in the House Armed Services Committee hearings on February 15, 2005.
Presumably, he meant to say "intelligence work." - Reply to this comment
- Anyone who advises me to go play with Lynda Carter can't be all bad.
That's the best advice I've received all year.

- Rumsfeld's military experience shaped him into a far-seeing military mind, as one can plainly see from these quotes:
"I can't tell you if the use of force in Iraq today would last five days, or five weeks, or five months, but it certainly isn't going to last any longer than that." - Donald Rumsfeld, in an interview with Steve Croft, Infinity CBS Radio Connect, November 14, 2002
"And it is not knowable if force will be used, but if it is to be used, it is not knowable how long that conflict would last. It could last, you know, six days, six weeks. I doubt six months."
- Donald Rumsfeld in a TownHall Meeting At Aviano Air Base in Italy, February 7, 2003
May America ever be served by such a "Mr. Spock" of military omniscience !! - Reply to this comment
- He must have thought Iraq would go pretty much like the Battle of Midway...
"Donald Rumsfeld served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 as a naval aviator and flight instructor. His initial training was in the North American SNJ Texan basic trainer after which he transitioned to flying the Grumman F9F Panther fighter. In 1957, he transferred to the Naval Reserve and continued his naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Individual Ready Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and retired with the rank of Captain in 1989."

lars008 usually defends this by citing some "Grand Mufti" who praised Hitler.
As if I couldn't find someone of just about any nationality or religious affiliation on earth (not excluding even the Jews) who didn't do the same.
Let lars008 quote those passages in the Arabic Qu'ran where people of blond blue-eyed "Nordic" race and appearance are declared the Master Race, to whom every other human group are by nature slaves, or which extols the worship of Teutonic deities like Odin and Thor.
Because you can't be a Nazi without that baggage. - Reply to this comment
- How much more blood does Bush want on his hands? How many have to die before he's finally satiated? What kind of murdering monster is he anyway? he's slaughtered 3600 of our troops and tens of thousands on innocent Iraqi civilians so far, just how many people does he have to kill before he's finally happy?

- One_American is one Pathetic_American!
American citizens have a civic obligation to be informed and to hold their government accountable. Unfortunately, One _American does not understand that the Iraq War was a needless, horrific war that has made us less safe.
Fact: Bush/Cheney deliberately LIED to the Amreican people, and it was actually Saddam who told the truth about WMDs and let the UN inspectors in. Bush still lies about this to this day. He lied about the Al Qaida link to Saddam. He took our troops off of Osama. Bush and the NeoCons wanted to invade Iraq from day 1 (read PNAC papers)and they exploited 911 as the means to do it.
3,600 dead troops, thousands more wounded, a couple hundred thousand Iraqis are dead, cities are in ruins, we have wasted $500 Billion on WAR, we are less safe than before, the rest of the world knows why we invaded (hear about the Iraqi Oil Law?), and the US invasion and occupation fuels more terrorists and insurgents.
Too bad One Pathetic American doesn't have a clue - possibly a result of Fox "News" brainwashing. - Reply to this comment
