There is no bias here. There is no slanting or any other color. The article states the plain and unvarnished truth.

As long as the Sunni block boycots parliment, there can be no political progress.

What is hard about understanding that??????

doctorwho4,

This has been explained about a million times, but I will give it another try.

Without parlimentary progress, that is, the agreement on laws by ALL parties involved whatever happens on the military front is MEANINGLESS!!!

The reporting of the constant violence either going up or going down is just background. The real and only important progress made is made by the Iraqi parliment. They MUST get together and pass laws agreed to by all parties on the distribution of oil wealth among many other things.

This article is about that, not about the violence.

Well said-leftist bias is rampant disease in not just the media but also universities and schools nowadays. These same cowards who want us to fail in Iraq will never see a valid reason to fight and defend ourselves against vicious determined foes. Once we leave Iraq, next they'll focus on Afghanistan, where we've beaten back tyranny and backwardness and brought freedom to the Afghanis.

The leftists have no moral compass and their raison d'etre lies only in their blind negation of any right-wing agenda (no matter how beneficial it is). They are pawns of muslim propagandists from places like Saudi Arabia who've been quietly planting the message of US defeatism for quite some time. Is it any wonder that muslim groups and leftists/communists have such great ties and have united against their common enemy, the US and its 'imperialism.'?

Those of us who are aware of what's going on here cannot count on the left (in fact due to their own gullibility and stupidity, they're just as dangerous as our enemies), until perhaps a million americans are killed by muslims-then they might wake up. We on the right need to continue to fight both forms of attacks, propaganda, lies and defeatism, unless we want to turn our country over to this motley group of lunatics and lose our precious values and freedoms.

i believe in staying course in the war as well as equality between sunni's and shiite's. i think its absurd having to set up a security subcommittee to carry forward talks on restoring stability in the war-torn nation when the people setting up the committee are there to talk about restoring peace in the first place! what a waste of time! just have the "talks" and be done with it. j.m.o. of course.

Some people need to know the other stories coming out of Iraq. That includes other countries, they need to know what Alqeada is doing that is making it harder on Our troops.

Most people in "other countries" don't believe we have any business being in Iraq in the first place, so why should you expect them to be sympathetic to what is happening to the troops? Many think we got what we deserved for acting so arrogant and unilaterally.

Futhermore, millions of Americans also believe this to some degree. It's unbelieveable to look for sympathy from people who didn't want this invasion and have been insulted over and over for opposing it. Yet people like you still practically demand we see things your way.

It's not going to happen. Your side was wrong and we were right. The US needs to leave Iraq now.

Well, I guess we could remove this government by military force too and start over again. Not like it could go any worse then the first time around.

It would be nice if Our News Medias would just report and let us Know all the facts. Joy! Joy! you was able to report one more thing that is bad. The hate for Our President has gotten so out of control its gone way past politics or anything rational. What happened when you could debate and still be friends.
I believe that everyone has lost sight of 1 very important thing, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER..... If Our Troops don't win, then none of us do. Harry Reid was wrong Our Troops WON the Battle, they are just having problems with the reconstruction of Iraq, due to all the mixed signals we are sending out through Our Elected Officials. That is one of the reasons we have lost soldiers needlessly. Because they think they can change the American Peoples minds. What most don't understand is yes, we are ready for this to end, but we are not anywhere ready to lose. We just want it won and now. We want our soldiers turned lose, and let them win, and stop this politically correct bs.
Some people need to know the other stories coming out of Iraq. That includes other countries, they need to know what Alqeada is doing that is making it harder on Our troops. Go to MICHAEL YON: ONLINE MAGAZINE.

FAIRNESS DOCTRINE?: Version 1: Cut off federal funding for NPR Version 2: Force NPR to carry 2 hours of Limbaugh, 2 hours of Hannity, and 2 hours of Levin daily. Version 3: Put a timer on CBS, ABC, and MSLSD and you will find that they would have to give so much time to the conservative view point that they would have to cancel American Idol. NO THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE WAS STUPID AND IT IS BETTER TO LET THESE LIBERAL SITES GO AHEAD WITH THE BLATHER. THIS IS ONE REASON THAT NO ONE LISTENS TO THEM. THIS INCLUDES MORNING JOE.

Who do these people think they are, the American Congress? What, what, Harry, you are not supposed to go over there and give these people Benchmarks! Look what you've done! You've allowed them to blackmail each other, just like you do here. What's wrong with your Harry? Poisoning everything in sight, aren't you?

NOTICE THAT CBS IS RELUCTANT TO CARRY THE EVOLVING STORY OF IMPROVEMENT ON THE GROUND WITH THE SURGE. THIS IS BECAUSE THIS SITE IS BYASSED AND PULLING FOR AN AMERICAN DEFEAT BY TRYING TO FRAME THE DEBATE FOR DEMORALIZING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, TRYING TO MAKE THE PARENTS AND RELATIVES OF THE SOLDIERS TO BELIEVE THE WAR IS UNWINNABLE. What wimps, and cowards. We cannot afford to lose, or withdraw. We must advance, and seek and destroy the Al Qaeda volunteers who came into Iraq and are foriegners to Iraq. These are the same as the Saudi Al Qaeda members who did the 911 number. Most of Al Qaeda in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia and Egypt, or Jordan. These are the same misfits and fanatics who otherwise would be trying to penetrate into the USA and Britain for killing.

Wow, more Bush success in Iraq.

I'm sure glad we've got his new "Stay the Course Part 5" plan in place.

I know. Somehow, all the bad news out of Iraq is made up by the liberal news media and things really are peachy! It does not seem to occur to them the impossibility of creating the fake bad news for 4-1/2 years or the fact that if there was good news, it would be reported by SOME news agency.

I am constantly amazed at the ability of people to delude themselves when faced with facts.

Perception5 believes the liberal media forced those Sunnis to quit just to make Bush look bad. Perception5 whole heartedly supports a return to the fairness doctrine.
