Ajmarine1 said that oil was not the motivation for the Iraq invasion.
I can find no other believable, logical/reason.

While there may well have been other factors, oil was definitely the bottom line.
When we leave, Al-Maliki, being one of the Shiite majority in Iraqi (who have been treated less than equal to the Sunnis for decades), would easily control the entire country, including it%u2019s wealth (Oil). Probably why he wants us to leave now.

It is doubtful they would favor the U.S. in any future oil sales, which is probably why they haven%u2019t concluded any oil disbursement legislation.

The Sunnis make up 85% of the Arab population including countries that have almost all the ME oil reserves. Shiite majority countries (Iran and Iraq) control most of what%u2019s left.

When we withdraw the Shiites will almost certainly try to eliminate most or all of the Sunnis, or at least deny them any of the oil revenues.
The neighboring Sunni dominated countries, will not let that happen without a fight.

Bush is trapped between the proverbial %u201Crock and hard-place%u201D.

The rock being the above scenario and the hard-place, being the fact that when we leave and the above happens, this administration will lose it%u2019s extraordinary friendly relationship with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, et al.

There will be no more favored oil deals for U.S. oil Co.%u2019s and they (the Saudis) just may let the world know why the 911 hijackers were almost all Saudis.

Well, now that al-Maliki has cleared up any debate about whether the US troops are needed, It's time to load up those cattle cars and get the jarheads and groundpounders the 'H' out of there. I wonder what the new US embassy will be used for now that we obviously won't be needing a 100+ acre, Vatican City sized complex or 14 permanent bases to represent our interests in 'sovereign' Iraq.

Lars008,,,, Your Isreal friends armed Central American dictators & death squads... Violated arms control agreements & lead to terrorism in Central America:

" Throughout the years of untrammeled slaughter that left at least 45,000 dead, and, by early 1983, one million in internal exile - mostly indigenous Mayan Indians, who comprise a majority of Guatemala's eight million people - and thousands more in exile abroad, Israel stood by the Guatemalan military. Three successive military governments and three brutal and sweeping campaigns against the Mayan population, described by a U.S. diplomat as Guatemala's "genocide against the Indians," had the benefit of Israeli techniques and experience, as well as hardware. ell it to fascist nazi terrorislam...

they have been killing non muslim civilians around the globe for 1400 years....

And so called "Christians" haven't?

Spreading hate towards groups of people you don't know or fully understand is bad karma. We already discussed this before. There are 900 million to 1.3 billion people (individuals) who you propose to make enemies of.

Like I told you before, a Muslim kid who you and I didn't know was beaten to death by strangers for apparently no good reason.

You are doing exactly what the Nazis and Hitler did in WW-II. No rational human being is going to by into your bullcr*p hate. See you later.

AJ1Marine,

Likewise. Have a great weekend. I think most people, including the Chimp worshippers, don't like watching TV and would rather spend their time ranting (I include myself here).

I don't think anyone is going to change their minds because of this forum. Its just a way to vent and that's about it. Legalized torture, warrantless wiretaps, 25,000 dead and maimed U.S. troops and 600,000 dead Iraqis.

So what, big deal, I'm going to get a beer and relax. Have a good weekend. See ya later.

Who is them? Every time you "accidentally" or cause "collateral damage" and an innocent person is killed or maimed. The friends and family of the victim(s) can potentially become one of "them".

Switch places with an Iraqi family, how would you feel if the Iraqi army took over the U.S. and "accidentally" killed one of your friends and family members trying to win your "freedom" and make you see the advantages of Islam?

Our Prophet commanded us to fight the kaafirs when we are able and to attack them in their homelands and to give them three choices before we enter their lands: either they become Muslim and be like us, sharing our rights and duties; or they pay the jizyah (poll tax) and feel themselves subdued; or they fight, in which case their wealth, women, children and homes become permissible as booty for the Muslims.

Sounds like Badaxmofo is afraid of women more than he is Bin Laden, the way he keeps on ragging about Hillary --
--- What's the matter Badax ? You don't like Maliki nullifying Bush's rhetoric of, "what will happen if we leave" ??? -- You better start worring about What Happens If We Stay.

NOW CAN WE KILL THEM???
If they can kill us, we can kill them.
