I'd like to believe this trip is honorable. Since V.P. Cheney has lost his credibility with me, I find him very hard to believe.

Othman said authorities learned that insurgents were planning a large attack a week ago when police arrested a militant cell in the town of Sulamaniya.

"During questioning they confessed that were getting training lessons in a neighboring country and that was Iran," he said.

A week ago Iraqi authorities knew of plans for a major attack? Did they alert US authortities? Did they heighten security?Who has corroborated the statement that they received their training in Iran? Who questioned them besides Iraqi police? Who is providing the training in Iran? Is it sponsored by the government?

He's going to apply the standard bush admin bipartisan approach...he's going to tell them to "go *** yourself."

And wasn't he there just 3 months ago trying the same snake charm???

If I were an Iraqi Parliamentarian I would take a six year vacation.

Cheney is going there for show. He hopes his presence will salvage something for the republican party? Maybe the foil wrappers.

He wouldn't go there unless something big was coming. Expect a large troop buildup say forty thousand more troops by year end to 200,000 ready to invade Russia.

First he CREATES a civil war in the country -
He instigates a religious fervor and assigns one religious sect the killing power..

lets it brew till we hear about the decimation and genocide of one of these fractions -

then wallah - he morphs into the "hero" the
"uniter of the deciders". What a total waste of flesh and blood - what birthed this blob of greed and lies?

The surge is going so well that Cheney has to sneak into Baghdad - wearing body armor.

I hope the SOB comes face to face with a car bomb.

It's a real shame his arrival wasn't announced in advance. Like a day or two early. On Al-Jazeera. Including his arrival time and a detailed map of his route into the city from the airport. With map quest printouts available to anyone who wanted one...city, nation and region wide.

The big question is: Will Cheney go shopping, a la McCain, in order to demonstrate to us how safe Iraq really is?
