If we can get china to lend us another 2 trillion dollars we can have a stable economy for another 4 or 5 years don't you think?

Can you tell me when exactly are we going to pay off the humongous debt bush has ran up in the past 6 years.

In fact it didn't prevent major attacks in Spain and Britain.

The war in Iraq, according to Bush's own CIA, and spurred al Qaeda recruitment.

As I said, if you see umbrellas everytime it's raining, you don't say to yourself, "Good for those umbrella manufacturers. We'd have a drought without them. Everytime you see rain you see umbrellas. They must be causing it."

But that is no worse that crediting the Iraq war for the absence of major attacks on U.S. soil, when the real cause is tighter security measures, and good luck.

Yes, the economy is just clicking along if you are fortunate enough to have money to begin with.... I guess if you pull enough Guard and Reserve units out of the United States, it just might free up a few extra jobs, build more defense weapons, etc.. But then again....I guess the recent rise in mortgage forclosures, drops in regional housing markets, rising fuel and health care prices, someone has to making money. Only a true Neocon can see that this President has done anything good for this country. Homeland Security is a mess(only $1 billion wasted), the Justice Department is in chaos(Duh, sorry, I can't remember...), and oh, yes, where is Osama Bin Laden???? C'mon, how about we deal with more of the obvious flaws of this Administration, like a total lack of leadership skill, a blatant disregard for the rights of the American public, and a complete lack of vision for any type of compromise on the serious problems facing this nation. No wonder he has to be so selective in his public appearances!

"artificial timetable"

Bush couldn't say what he means by that.

What's the opposite of artificial timetables ?

Timetables that grow on trees ?

A timetable with deadlines structures the work and focuses the effort.

Difficult tasks usually don't get done without that.

You are right, bush doesn%u2019t have Al Qaeda %u201Cpinned down%u201D in Iraq, they didn%u2019t even enter Iraq until after bush overthrew Saddam.

Bin Laden and Al Qaeda don%u2019t want to attack America now they know the longer we stay in Iraq the stronger they become and the weaker we become.

Nobody in their right mind could believe the reason we haven%u2019t suffered another 911-type attack has anything to do with %u201Cfighting them over there%u201D.
How in the world could that prevent another attack?

Our military is so bogged down now we would be in a world of trouble if another country, or coalition of countries, were to decide to take advantage of our situation.

Is Bush saying that the U.S. armed forces are not under civilian control ?

"I will strongly reject an artificial timetable (for) withdrawal and/or Washington politicians trying to tell those who wear the uniform how to do their job," [Bush] told reporters in the Oval Office as he met with his top Iraq commander, Gen. David Petraeus."

Go read the Constitution, doofus.

"The Congress shall have Power... to make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;... To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces..."

Two of my favorite quotes

Eisenhower

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, and its stupidity.

THAT makes him a fu*cking murderer in my book! And the same goes for any of his supporters.

Posted by RandalDS at 09:25 PM : Apr 23, 2007

Like I said, that goes for his supporters too. Evey last one of them is responsible for murdering our troops. Every last one of them has our troops blood on their hands and they'll never be able to wash it all. Everyone of them had better pray that there really is no god, because if there is then every last one of them will be roasting in hell right along with Bush and Cheney.

Your tired diatribe about Bush gets so old. I am waiting for you to prove that global warming was signed into law by the Bush Administration. So to follow your party affiliated rant, I guess all those families of the USS Cole should be visited by Mr Clinton along with all the families of the 1st WTC bombing, since they were orchestrated by Bin Laden while Clinton was getting his di@k sucked. The best thing about Bush is that he is 2-0 in presidential elections.

You do realize that this is a stinking steaming pile of shi*t, don't you? I say Bush is a murderer and you talk about global warming? Classic! Don't like what you hear (because it true) so change the subject. To paraphrase the Great Bugs Bunny, "What a fu*cking maroon!"

Maybe BANDAIDS and MCVET can hold a candle vigil where they protest all that BUSH and any republican stand for. I mean look at all the stuff they can protest....The economy has been stable, unemployment has been at a steady low rate, the stock market has been strong and the interest rate has been low. This kind of stuff must not be tolerated. Not only that but we have found and caught about 90 % of the FBI's most wanted and overthrew Iraq's govt. and had THEIR people elect their own govt. Hussein is 6 feet under too. This kind of stuff must not go unprotested!
On second thought, instead of crying about everything like BANDAIDS and MCVET, I will just look at each day and it's events and try to find the FACTS....not try to find the liberal slant on everything.

Arguing that the Iraq war has prevented another 9/11 is like arguing that umbrellas cause rain.

We have not been hit again because security (in the airports especially) was greatly increased after 9/11.

NOT because Bush has the terrorists so thoroughly pinned down in Iraq that not even 15 of them could plan another 9/11.

Security measures have prevented another 9/11 SO FAR.

This is just elementary logic. Umbrellas don't cause the rain.

"Tighter security in the airports and elsewhere around the world is the ONLY thing that could have prevented 9/11."

"...we realized that after 9/11 we had to take threats seriously, before they fully materialized..." G.W. Bush

If he had realized that BEFORE 9/11, it might have been prevented.

Bush... you're to stupid to back someone who can actually THINK!! Sieg Heil ROFLMAO
Posted by MCVet at 09:14 PM : Apr 23, 2007

OK.... in reference to your above mentioned post, it should be "you're too stupid" and not "you're to stupid". Now that we have the 3rd grade grammar lesson complete we can move on. If you read your earlier post about how everything CLinton did was right and how everything Bush did was wrong, you can come to only one conclusion and that is that you make no sense. The fact of the matter is that Bin Laden appeared on the radar screen as a threat to US security under the Clinton Administration. He planned the 1st WTC Bombing and was also responsible for the USS COLE. These are facts. Whether you back CLinton enough to ignore facts is entirely up to you. Clinton had strong points but National Security was not one of them and I agree with Bush about going to war with Iraq and we did the world a favor by stretching that no good piece of $hit's neck (Hussein's). Soon enough, we will get Bin Laden and I can't wait to see the pictures of his dead body hanging from a rope. The president is takingt he war to the terrorists and last time I looked we have not been hit since 9/11. Good job Mr President!

Nine more of our troops killed for nothing! Nine more that died in vain! Nine more lives wasted! Nine more murder charges to add to Bush's list! Nine more funerals he won't have the balls to attend. Nine more families without a father or a son or a husband or a wife! Nine more dead because Bush's ego won't let him state the obvious, the war is lost and he's just desperately trying to push the inevitable pull out off to the next president just he'll be able to say it didn't happen when he was president. Every troop that dies because of Bush's stubbornness will have died only because of his ego and nothing else! THAT makes him a fu*cking murderer in my book! And the same goes for any of his supporters.
