Comments on: Nine U.S. Soldiers Killed In Suicide Blast
Elsewhere, At Least 46 Iraqis Die In Multiple Blasts

Chemical Ali's attacks on the Kurds occurred (no pun intended) in 1988. Other Iraqi chemical weapons uses were in the early 1980's using chemical weapons manufactured from precursors provided by the Reagan administration. These chemical attacks were Clinton's fault, how?
I'd appreciate your explaining a few things. My interest was piqued by your earlier posts.
Saddam was a bad guy. How did deposing him without the forces and/or planning needed to prevent Iraq's devolving into sectarian violence and civil war, serve to protect the US? These conditions were the considered opinions of our best minds and offered to each pres. since 41, who wisely bypassed his opportunity to get rid of him. AlQaeda wasn't in Iraq before the invasion. bin Laden didn't have dealings with Saddam. Saddam's biggest threat was Baghdad Bob talking people to death (the sanctions had worked.) The Democratic government in Iraq is controlled by the Shia majority, who happen to be more closely aligned with Iran than they'll ever be with us. Since our invasion, total number of active anti-US terrorist worldwide is now 5 times higher. It's US policy to object to Iran's providing weapons to Iraqi Shi'ites, but not to object to the Saudis and Jordanians providing financing, weapons and explosives to the Sunnis, even though over 95% of our KIA die at the hands of Sunnis, who we claim are working with alQaeda. - Reply to this comment
- If the Green Zone can be penetrated, as it has been on a number of occasions, then how is building a wall around the Sunni's going to solve anything?
All it is going to do is create more resentment against the US.
Way to go - just what our troops need.
Whoever thought of that idea should be shot. - Reply to this comment
- I'll go ahead and tell those families if you tell the families of the Cole and the victims of the 1st WTC bombing. You should also tell the families of the victims that were poisined by Saddam's buddy chemical Ali since that was done under CLintons watch. Let me know when your finished.
Bush 2-0 against Democratic Presidential Nominees!

Again you change the subject just like one would expect from someone who supports that pile of sh*it Bush. We are talking about this war that Bush lied us into and it has nothing to do with terrorism and never did. If say it did then you're just as big of a liar as the piece of garbage in the White House. And you are still a murderer. Our troops blood is on your hands and you crow about Bush supposedly being 2 and 0. Is this a game to you you fu*cking moron? REAL people are dying and you treat it like a baseball score! Guess that shows you8're just as big of a jerk as Bush too.
Join up or shut your lying hole. Put YOUR as*s on the line instead of cheerleading the deaths of REAL Americans you gutless coward. - Reply to this comment

-Walking-Liar does not care. He's at the revolving center of the 'Axis of Evil'. He gets what he wants, promising he'd pay it back.
He will never. Will he?
Bully by nature, nobody can take back from him. The whole world ows him these funds. The only victims in all this are the US generations to come. Until USA is taken over by another Nation such as a gone-bankrupt company by another one? Whom is he 'giving' the USA to? - Reply to this comment

Comparing the losses suffered underthe Clinton administration and those of this current bufffon is just anal. Two wrong do not, can not, and will not make this situation any more pallatable. It's time for new direction and new leadership from someone, somewhere, that the American people feel they can trust. The problem is that American is a little bankrupt on trustworthy souls. But to continue on this disastrous path of something is better thatn nothing when hundreds are dying weekly is no policy at all. All we are doing in Iraq is providing all side to blame the other for their situations and providing a common scapegoat. Yes, they may well continue killing each other after we leave, but then, at some point, sanity will prevail. We cannot stop bloodshed which has historically taken place for centuries simply by rule of military might. If that is the case, what make us any better than any other tyrant.

- Nine more dead, wasted in a war that has been lost since lost. George Bush is a war criminal who should be sent to Iraq to lead his troops.

- ". . . 'actionable intelligence' and the fact that a lenthy (sic) and cumbersome approval process will void the usefulness of that intellegence (sic). Its a sorry situation to be in but the current threats demand that we can respond quickly."

The lengthy and cumbersome approval process argument is Bushshit of the first order. They can start monitoring communications instantly, now. Since they can start immediately, nothing dumbya's asking for will be faster. Then they have to actually file the paperwork within 3 days after they start the surveillance. Most of it is standard boiler plate. They just enter the name and a few items on a form and it fills out the filing and they have to present it to one of the judges on the FIS Court. There have been exactly ZERO leaks and the approval rate is in excess of 99.99%, so it's not exactly a cumbersome, non-responsive process and the so-called need to start faster than instantly is Bushshit. It's not an unbearable burden. It just provides minimal limits on the ability of the executive to monitor what and whom they want monitored for whatever reason they want. In this honesty-challenged administration, anything that makes it easier to spy on citizens can be abused, and probably will be. These aren't great American statesmen, now. This is DickNBush, the only administration less honest and trustworthy than Nixon-Agnew. They make Nixon look like the poster boy for transparency, honesty and open government. - Reply to this comment

Excellent question, and one that few people are willing to talk about. These wars are costing us hundreds of billions of dollars (all of it basically borrowed), and there is no end in sight. This needs to stop soon, or else our largest budget item is going to be interest payments on the debt. As of today we are nearing 9 trillion in debt. That is almost four times what we take in each year in Tax revenue, and there are yearly budget deficits predicted every year for about the next ten years or so, and that is not even taking into account the baby boomers retiring. This is a very serious matter that needs to be dealt with. We simply do NOT have the money to continue with these never ending wars. It is going to bankrupt us. - Reply to this comment

- The best thing about Bush is that he is 2-0 in presidential elections.
Posted by cbville72 at 09:31 PM : Apr 23, 2007
You're right 2-0 that he stole.
With 9 more troops killed today please tell us that this was expected as the surge is working so well. This was part of the surge correct?
Oh and don't forget the extra 1/2 trillion and growing deeper in debt. - Reply to this comment
- Pappa Bush must be so proud of his little boy.....handed him a government to play with, and look how he's screwed it up. Poor Jeb....even now he watches any political aspirations he may have had going up in flames because Georgie boy has turned a fairly reputable name in public service into a crying shame!!

- I think lars and seven pesos should get married or enter a civil union (with those two it wouldn't be civil for very long,) but have them live together, somehow. They could mutter incoherently to each other 24/7 and save the bandwidth that their ramblings take up here. I'd enjoy having less garbage to scroll past. They are probably the kinds of people you see walking as if they're lost, and occasionally stopping to argue with a bus stop sign or a lamp post.
