MISSINGHALF- GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL FAMILEYS THAT ARE PUTTING UP WITH THIS.. I WAS A MILITARY SERGENT AND I WISH I WAS IN RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE I WOULD NOT PUT MY TROOPS IN ARMS WAY OVER THIS ELEIGLE WAR.. AND IF I HAD TO I WOULD FIGHT ANY ONE TO UPHOLD WHAT IS RIGHT FOR AMERICA. AND AMERICANS.

AND IT IS TIME TO TAKE ACTON ON WASHINGTON..BELEIVE ME NO SOILDGER HAS TO FIGHT. ITS A LAW THAT IF YOU THINK THIS IS NOT A WAR FOR ANYTHING ABOUT AMERICANS LIFES YOU HAVE A RIGHT AND IS YOUR RIGHT TO SAY I WILL NOT FOLLOW YOUR ORDERS BECAUSE I BELEIVE ITS A UNLOFTFUL ORDER.. SO ALL TROOPS SHOULD BE DOING THIS AND IF THEY DID THE WAR WOULD END AND THEY WOULD ALL COME HOME..

Of course this is a form of retalliation against the Dems for the Iraq funding bill issue "Coke Head in charge is now angry and he has to do something that will show everyone he is still in charge. I am a military wife, my husband just went to Iraq in February and to receive this information by news broadcast was a definite blow. My husband will have missed two years of birthdays and other things. I just feel it is unfair. I think that we have traded places with the Iraq people, this country is now a dictatorship and we have no say or control over anything that goes on here.
Now before I receive the response that my husband signed up for the military knowing what it would involve, that is completely a lie, no one expected any of this 4 years ago so how could any of our soldiers have known that when they volunteered to serve their country it would come to this? I have total respect for Our SOLDIERS but no respect for the MILITARY as it is being ran. Our Soldiers are no longer the Military the Military is now being controlled by total Politics. I just pray that eventually something good will come out of this and my husband will come home and be with his family.
Be Blessed

Hey, if only 20% of the cretins that voted for the Shrub would get their patriotic backsides over to Iraq we'd have more than enough cannon fodder on the ground. Extended and/or multiple tours would be a thing of the past. Come on you arm chair patriots, put down your Budweiser, join up and support your vote.

Troops have to stay as long as there is oil over there.

You know, I think Gates got things scre*wed up. He was supposed to wait until the bill was on Duhhbya's desk and a big, nasty "VETO" scrawled across it. THEN he was supposed to do the extension thing...

The US military is a mercenary army.

Considering that the definition of the term "mercenary" is:

"a soldier hired into foreign service",

I have to disagree with your statement.

All of our warriors are citizens or resident aliens of this country. So the term just does not apply.

The US military is a mercenary army.

Mercenaries serve based on pay & benefits.

The military is staffed primarily, if not exclusively, by people who are attracted by the pay and/or benefits.

Calling it a "volunteer" military is a misapplication of the word "volunteer."

In addition to your comments about volunteering, "volunteers" do not receive salary and benefits for their services, other than the rewards that go along with doing something a person believes to be worthwhile. Occasionally, volunteers are provided with some basic subsistence for the duration of a project, but that is the exception, not the rule.

The US military is not a "volunteer" organization. It is a mercenary army staffed by the equivalent to civil servants or any other government employees.

A president who has a volunteer Army has an obligation to respect them and only involve them in a military action that is just and necessary.
This president has done none of the above, he has cherry picked intelligence and lied to involve our Troops in this war.He is responsible for every death of our Soldiers and every Iraqi civilian. We the People need to hold him accountable for all his lies!

I volunteer with many organizations. As a volunteer, I can choose how little or how much I want to participate. As a volunteer, I can decide to quit my participation.

This is not a volunteer military.

King George is goint to cause the military to really have problems getting people to join. Enough is Enough.. The military is that not a bunch of policeman.. It is time to get out and let them build there own country. If they screw up- well the military can do what they do best ... If they know this I think they will get it right

On Tuesday, Bush commented that the Dems (with the funding bill for Iraq) were ensuring that families would be waiting longer to see their family members rotate back from Iraq.

Then yesterday, the administration itself says "We're going to keep there here for another 3 months".

This administration has no shame whatsoever.

College money is dangled in front of America's poor kids as a way of getting them to enlist in the military. This already starts with ROTC in high school. The the rich use your tax dollars to get the poor kids of our country to do the fighting for them. We should have a draft with no exeptions for college or family status so all rich and poor have to serve.

YOU are WRONG Sparky!! They do NOT have to just Suck it up! Because they took the job does NOT mean we have to make them into Slaves or into people who are nothing but servants to the King. Nope! You are going to hear a lot, an awlful lot, about this and I believe the Average American does NOT feel like this about our Troops. I think American's care about them and their families and THEY will not stand for it. Let's wait and see.

That's RIGHT! The agreed to serve the country and defend it and they have NO RIGHTS. The Fuehrer can use them anyway he wants, even to wash the car, and theres nothing they can say or do!! Anyone who doesn't understand this will find themselves being visited by the SS too! Wasn't that how Hitler inforced the EXACT same policy? Sieg Heil Swastika Breath!!

For God sake go to one of the Nazi sites then and leave the rest of us alone. THEY will tell you what you want to hear and you won't have to hear anything about our Troops being asked to do what is almost impossible. But that isn't it is it Sparky? It's not that YOU want a choice, it's about preventing ME from reading this site isn't it? It's about depriving me of news and information I WANT about my Government isn't it? That's called fascism you know.
