"Recent news from Iraq has reported McCain's trip has caused Iraqis in this area to fear retaliation for being involved with this photo-op. I hope the dumba*s*s realizes this and sends the families some money to pay for the funerals.
McCain,.....another brain-dead Bush lacky on his way out.....what a POS"

Thank you veteran71. I hadn't heard this yet, but unfortunately it's of no surprise.

We will restore our Constitution and the rule of law to this land very soon, and record in dark letters these days of our nations betrayal.

Some who have read this article thus far may simply be cringing at the phrasing of the question %u201CWhat is the truth?%u201D For some, truth is transitory. For others it is absolute. Still others feel it is completely subjective. Even the nature of truth itself is in question. No wonder it has caused our species so much anguish and strife.

Unfortunately, our problem quickly gets even more difficult. This is because it%u2019s not simply a matter of whether or not questions about truth can be answered. It%u2019s also a matter of whether or not we can ever convince everyone else, or anyone else, that our answers are correct.

Truth?
What is the truth? This is one the most oft asked and complex questions humankind has ever encountered. Throughout history, this one central theme of inquiry and exploration has been ever present, %u201CWhat is the truth of our existence?%u201D

The answers to this question have been critical, because they set the tone and weight the structures that societies create to enable human cohabitation. Over time, varying perspectives on truth have seen a range of societies created - from the strictly totalitarian to nigh anarchy. All of the suffering that has resulted from the history of organized human conflict may be attributed to the nature of these answers, and to the degree they differed from the perceptions of others.

The answers to this question have also governed to what degree a society has been able to understand and manipulate the mechanisms of the natural world. This has had a direct effect upon the society%u2019s ability to provide its citizens with food, shelter, and defenses from disease, and man made and natural catastrophes. There have been societies in which progress in these areas was completely stagnant for generations, to others where the physical environment of the citizens was consistently improving. I%u2019m not making a value judgment as to whether improving ones physical environment is a positive thing, I am merely stating that answers about truth affect a societies ability to do so.

Aaahhhh ....

Truth.

As always, it prevails.

McCain claimed there were parts of Baghdad that could be safely traversed without armed escort as evidence that the "surge" (the senseless sacrifice of more of our children) was working.

Incredulous embedded reporters, honestly shocked and bewildered by his words, asked him to come to Baghdad and show them where these streets were, and to join them in a leisurely stroll through these unknown havens.

McCain flew to Baghdad under military escort, made speeches from the Green Zone, and had hundreds of soldiers, and multiple Apache helicopters, protect him as he dared go to market.

Truth always prevails.

Sorry Senator McKennedy you and your buddy both are over the hill. THE issue is not Iraq - that has been decided and Mr. Bush will sign or veto and our troops will come home by June 07 or by October 08. It is over. It is way past time for the Texican to admit he is and has been totally out of touch with America and us Americans. THE issue is all about ILLEGAL ALIENS. The voters in this family will crosas party line to help support the candidate is an actual straight-shooter and will spear-head the drive to rid OUR country of the millions and millions of terrorist criminal illegal aliens AND secure OUR borders and ports. No more mealey-mouthed nonsense. NO AMNESTY IN ANY FORM.

Go figure-- McCain had the insight and the patriotism to stand up to Bush criminality on the issues of torture and secret prisons. This veteran (and triumphant survivor) of the worst Karl Rove and his minions could throw his way during the GOP primary now hitches his figurative wagon to the misbegotten Iraq policies of the Bush regime.

We hadn't a shred of justification for invading Iraq, nor have we any basis for occupying the country. Even Bush planned to bow to international condemnation of the American invasion, and begin pulling out in a matter of months. Only Paul Bremer and an apparent change of policy launched the scrambling, ad hoc three-year military occupation-- what experts have called the most unfortunate foreign policy blunder in recent memory.

Had McCain campaigned against the Bush record of criminality, deceit and incompetence, he might have had a fighting chance with the majority of American voters completely nauseated by the Bush regime.

Typical "Dan Rather" reporting again by LIB CBS. Take one Iraqi off the street and as long as he agrees with the CBS LIB agenda, make him a headline. CBS has reached new lows.

In time, both sides will blame the other strongly, about who, and when this "war" was lost. Any thoughts?
