I respectfully disagree with you.
You can not call UAE a Sunni country or even an Islmic country.I've been to Dubai myself.
Both Sunni and Shia Islam don't allow drinking alcohal, eating pork, comiting fornication or adultery and all those things are widespread in Dubai. The main reason why UAE is eth best country in the world is because they have kept religion completely out of politics. That's the only country I have seen in the muslim world where pork is served in the hotels, bars and clubs openly do business and the city Dubai is the Center of International prostitution. - Reply to this comment
- Notblue,,,, I'm telling you bro,, The GOP has spun it out of control,,, Just as they did the intell to take into Iraq --- And, just how well did that work...
--- Don't believe me, fine. But watch what's really going on... But start listening to our intellegence agencies & the current NIA... Bush's intell on Iran is old & hyped. - Reply to this comment
- J-whitman, now not in the 70's is when Iran is producing enriched uranium, The IAE says Iran is doing it not just U.S. intelligence. Iran themselves state they will not halt enrichment, this isn't some U.S. generated lie to justify a military action, have you listened to Any of Ahmadinajhads speaches? it's time for you to get out more.

- Notblue,,,,, Our own intellegence agencies say Bush's acusations on Iran aren't valid... Even the IAEA will tell you that & the NRC will as well...
. Bush is Cherry-Picking again, & all for the Sunni's.... 9/11 & USS Cole attack was by Sunni's & most from the UAE - Reply to this comment
- Notblue,,, With respect,,, Get up to date, This isn't the 70's... Iran understands the economics of Democracy, it's in thier intrest -- It's far safer now than ever there, they are even actively trying to draw more tourism..... All Bush has to do is back off & let it happen...,, Unless you think a Sunni method is better.

- j-whitman, Iran is still dangerous, remember back in the 70's they din't have thousands of centrifuges in underground faclilities producing weapons grade uranium.

- Notblue,,,, Bush is like an old car,,, that costs you billions each week to run & it dosen't make it to the end of the block, & stains your driveway on top of that ---- Why in the world would you want to keep it or put your kids in it ??

- Notblue -- You're correct, in the 70's they where a major theat,,, But you haven't noticed the changes since,,, Yes they deny Isreal, so does the entire UAE --
-- Iran consists of many religions including Christians & Jews, even the muslems there now can & do speak out against the bad rhetoric of thier leaders --- They even have Jews in thier government..... They have become another type of democracy, even thier Supreme Leader speaks out against thier President. - Reply to this comment
- Notblue,,,, As in the Iraq WMD's,, Ancient history, old intell many years old -- Most of the Iran intell now is highly argumentive amongst our intellegence agency's own people & only considered of moderate value.

- jwhitman, Iran has been a threat to the U.S. since the 70's when they took Amaricans hostage. They support the radical Al Sadr in Iraq who is causing alot of the violence and unrest. They support Hezbollah and Hamas. These Sunni's you refer to are affiliated with Al Quada. So based on the fact that the russians didn't invade after world war two you justify your opinion that these militants backed by countries like Iran won't attack??? On CBS news last night they showed Al Quada affiliated Sunni's attempting to shoot down yet another U.S. helicopter, they were subsequently destroyed. What America is trying to do is to protect the civilized Sunni minority while attempting to defeat Al Sadr's shiite death squads. How many million Russian soldiers died from WWII? I don't think they were ready to take on the U.S. at that point. How many years did the cold war last after they put up the Berlin wall?

- Notblue,,,, 9/11 & USS Cole attacks where by Sunni's (UAE),, 96% of our casualties are by Sunni's --- Bush gave Iraq to Iran (Sheiits) without Iran lifting a finger,,
, Sheiits actually suport Bush's security plan & Need a Stable Iraq, it's in thier intrest
--- What does Bush do ??? Fight against them in support of Sunni's.. He's given our New York & New Jersy's ports & air space to the Sunni's.. And is funding radical militant Sunni's in Lebanon. - Reply to this comment
- Notblue,,, It wasn't true Russians where going to invade us after WW2 -- It wasn't true communist where going to invade us after Viet Nam --- It wasn't true about the violence raging in Viet Nam after we pulled out either. --- Your logic is wrong also,, it's driven by rhetoric & narrowminded ideaology.

- More pro Iranian anti-American crapp here at left wing central. It is nothing new to here people bloviate how Bush is bad and Iran is the lesser of the two evils, sad sad sad. As far as our military goes you people need to do a little more research. The American Military is the best in the world and has over 4 million active members, the stretched too thing crapp is another ploy of the left to make us look weak. Weak is not the case when it comes to the U.S. military. Technologically we have no equals, one of our subs lone could win a war if it not for our great compassion and efforts to prevent the killing of innocent civillians unlike the barbaristic tactics our enemies use as in the purposeful targeting of innocent civilians, the use of human shields, fighting from mosks and hospitals, the list of attrocities goes on and on. The fact is radical Islam would destroy Americans with any means they could if given the chance, this is the nature ofthe evil we are fighting. Iran would wipe Israel off the map if it had nukes, it would supply any one of a number of terrorist organizations with the means to attack us if it had a chance. Iran is not to be trusted period, and these so called negotiations are nothing more than stealing more time to complete it's weapons program and take some international pressure off.

In fact we picked on Iran & Syria only when we realized that the war in Iraq had been getting difficult. We never mentioned Iran & Syria when we were going to invade Iraq. It was Saddam, Bin Laden and WMD. Now we thought the only way to get out of the quagmire lies in calling the neighbors meeting on Iraq. Both Iran & Syria are proceeding with caution. Iran may find an excuse to exclude itself at some stage. - Reply to this comment

Maybe Hillary could fix it, who knows ??? --- She certainly would not go all neurotic & attack the wrong dam country as Bush did though, would she ?? - Reply to this comment

- Iran has twisted this pathetic losers some call a President around to the point that they are truly in the drivers seat. Bush pounded his chest and refused to even concider meeting with then when the attacks on this nation happened. Now they hold the key to ending the War he started. He now agrees to meet with them but he's not in a very strong position and they'll certainly rub his nose in it awhile. One thing is certain with Bush as Commander in Chief, we can't win with the Military so this is the ONLY way out.
